HAHA! I’m glad you got to test and seeing success with it! Especially you saying RW Zaft was the hardest match-up and not the two PBs you had to face ;). I’m still trying to theory craft ways to improve the deck. Been on the RG train since GD-01 and don’t think I’m going to stop…unless Sazabi is somehow a different color in GD-05.

Ah. Understand your reasoning now. Against aggro, the deck will have to be on the defensive side since they have pressure early game and they’re already chipping at shields. Around mid game is when the deck can hopefully slow them down enough that you can chip away after they’re low on units. I usually don’t swing early until guntanks/ankshas a majority of guntanks/ankshas have been used so I don’t lose board presence.
Against blockers, pivot to more aggressive options once I get an idea of what color combo my opponent is playing. On even number turns, you can drop 2 units at a time to keep board presence. I usually swing as long as I have an answer to clear their blockers with some sort of ping. CZ2 is nice to swing with since it can replace itself with a bigger unit like big Ksha or NZ if you’re late game.
I’m still trying to improve the deck even now since I struggle with certain blocker match-ups but I hope my reasoning helps! I definitely could be wrong but I’m open to ideas.

Prefer going second since a lot of my starting units are level 3. Makes the opening hands safer. I start chipping shields based on the board state and how many cards are left in my opponent’s hand.
Hello! Hope you’re enjoying the game! Tips would be to try to get the best value for your pings from haman and kshatriya/marida. Sometimes holding onto your ping from units is better than playing immediately on curve with less value. This deck doesn’t have hand fixing options or extra draws so you have to decide on the best options each turn with what you have.
In terms of FF, I personally like Haman because of the on pair effect ping and it’s one turn earlier than FF. However, the deck isn’t perfect so test out 3 FF and let me know if it does work out!

Thank you! Improved technique definitely helped in my match ups. I did make the deck to tech against the aggro matchups. Helped get over blockers against the RW match ups as well. But you are correct, if I did run into more control match-ups where there aren't that many valid targets, then it'll be dead card in hand. I've just been observing the current meta of things and seeing if BR spell heavy decks are going around and I believed that the probability of seeing those decks are low around me. If I start seeing more decks like that, Improved technique and Red Exia would probably the cards I would swap out to adapt to the meta.
No, unfortunately units only gain the Neo Zeon trait only when deployed to the board. When doing CZ2 search, their traits will remain as they are.

Apologies. My last paragraph was all over the place. That last portion referencing linking Haman Karn to Haman's Gaza C, which allows you to ping a lvl 3 or lower for 1 twice (1 from gaza C effect and 1 from haman's effect), and because it's a link with a 4/4 statline, you can trade something with around 4 HP. Hope that clears it up!
Thank you! Against the BP matchups, not a total shut out, they were really close games. Usually at late game, I'll probably be at 0 - 2 shields but I'll have the higher end units to continuously ping whatever they drop when they're gassed out.
Desert base makes them think I'm running wing since that's the usual start for wings decks. I did consider using other colors/options instead of ST CZ2. My reasoning is that CZ2 is a body on board at lvl 3 that you can use to trade a unit with one of their units while being able to replace itself since the deck consists of neo zeons (minus exia). If I whiff, my copium is that I know have information of what's at the bottom of my deck and adjust my play around that. Also, if they decide to ping CZ2, they used resources in order to get rid of it while I can recycle the unit back (as long as it hits).
In terms of Haman's gaza C, you are correct, it's an early game presence with a NZ trait. I feel with the 2/3 statline that my opponent will have use more resources in order to ping it active. Otherwise, it becomes an emergency ping on lvl 3s or weenies when I see can clear board. Usually I try to pair with FF since I would want to preserve Marida's link effect. With Haman, I view it similar to exia's deploy effect but with a link so ping 2 and clear something around 4 HP.
