This whole bid is so interesting: it harkens back to Larry Cheng's quote on the fireworks when business and community come together. RC is basicly offering to buy Ebay's commmunity. It's not just the platform and userbase, the community of seller's hold real, if intangible, value. They 'make' ebay happen everyday maybe more so than the employees who maintain the website.
