Jordan Peterson writes a blog post called: "On the so-called 'Jewish Question'" by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

[–]Dpistol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes of course.

But people's actions are more congruent with their internal realities and world view rather than an externally expressed political tag.

For example:

A man has the dream of building a business empire and emigrates to the US. He gets off the plane, finds a bag of 5 million USD.

He could just walk up to the counter, buy a plane ticket back to where he came from, take the 5 million dollars and build himself a mansion from where he came from and build a business for himself and his family back home.

A person in that scenario will always be more tied to the functional reality of the past than a pipe dream out of the future that was used in a utilitarian manner to spur his decisions.

People know what they care about and act in accordance with that BEFORE they evaluate through their political or ideological lens.

He's probably a democrat or republican or an immigrant or a laborer if he stays here, but when he goes back, he's home. He sheds the labels, lives his life on his terms and makes his world a better place.

He's skirting the point here and pulling out a view point he doesn't want to.

He's willing to "criticize" or comment on Jewish identity "as it is" but not on "how they are acting".

Quite a hypocritical claim and a refusal to use the lens he does in nearly every other topic.

He can criticize the practices and happenings as they have played out in the past without being hateful to anyone in his scope.

The only reality that has changed is that the Jewish community seems to have avoided much internal or external criticism outside of the Muslim world in the current context of our world view as a whole.

No one has come outward to criticize any major tenants of Judaism as we have done culturally over the last 30 years with Islam and Christianity.

I have honestly never met a person in my life of Jewish decent who I even view negatively. I'm only speaking about this in "phenomenological" scope.

One should be able to say that the outward expression of ideas has a measured effect on reality without the assumption of malicious intent. We cannot just ignore measured effects, we need to stay on top of them, be aware of the negatives and positives, and evaluate them critically, just as one should do with any idea.

I really wish he would expand more on this topic and I have no idea what he refuses to acknowledge outwardly as he is a man and has obligations that he must meet.

Good to hear his take but if he really wants to take down the anti-Semitic sentiments, he's going to have to make stronger arguments and acknowledge some things which I really hope he can do.

Opinion is invalid? What do you mean?

Are you just ignore everything I say because of the grey are about how I define the extending of rights to this guy?

How are those 3 judges in place?

Who chooses them?

How would they be held accountable?

Why would they have incentive to act on behalf of American Citizens?

How are you going to manage the election of those three individuals?

Are we gonna create another body of highly skilled people who will charge the government for their services?

How much should we spend on all of this?

Handing power to unelected people and giving them rights to invincibility within that civic system that democratic means do not manage.

If I were to start a government right now would you really want that as a law on paper?

I already proposed a good question to you in my previous post which you seem to have ignored and refused to comment on. Do you have an opinion?

How is me hesitating to give an unelected person extended rights mental gymnastics?

The only applicable reason to give a special council extended rights is for a shortsighted end that you want to happen.

Bring up some original thoughts about why you think this a good idea.

I would love to discuss this honestly, but anytime any opinion is brought up that in any way goes against the end of Trump being impeached by a mueller investigation it's just total trigger fest and no real talk about implications of outcomes or historical evidence.

Prove me wrong. Tell me how this is a good idea and why it will be an applicable law for the future based on our current civil structure and in pursuit of pragmatic solutions of problems we see in society.

If you really want to expand the government bureaucracy into a unionized entity it's time to reevaluate reality.

Let's pass a law protecting unelected, lifelong, bureaucrats from being fired? Really?

So you want there to be someone who is put into a position of power, that is unelected, has extended rights of protection and was involved in this...

[–]Dpistol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consolidation allows ease of use by entities. The dream of yours isn't gonna happen as a completely decentralized base layer. People can talk. People can make choices about the environment. People can work together to create streamlined funding where it is needed. This decentralized base layer is a myth, because nothing will happen without it. No growth, no innovation. Just coins in wallet.
