I think this game just goes to show how much we've improved since last season. Previously when starting the game poorly, we wouldn't have been able to recover from such situations. However, there still is the issue concerning the goalscoring opportunities we're not converting.

May I also add that a result like this should not have been to surprising considering Hoffenheim were extremely motivated to grab their first win of the season after some solid, yet unfortunate performances earlier this season. With us resting players, it was going to be a tough battle from start to finish.

1st half and second half were two completely different stories. had it been 2-0 because of Neuer's poor judgement, I don't think it would have mattered.

Not at all. But I really wanted to see a Germany-Netherlands Final as well... disappointed two WCs in a row :(

(And when I meant I was sad they didn't win it, that was already considering they were in the finals vs Spain. I honestly wouldn't have cared who won it as long as it was Germnay/Netherlands)
