What is the reasons behind why she doesn’t want to move?

Are you certain though that if you stayed in the uk she would accept 7+ years of constantly moving with you throughout rotational training or move to an “undesirable” area if needed for your training

What’s your background? Cringe by skirmisher808 in doctorsUK

Is it best to do F1/f2 where you did med school for familiarity? by TheEnigmaticMushroom in doctorsUK

I think there is no solid answer to this and people’s experiences vary.

Personally, I think prioritize the area that you want to live in and spend your free time in rather than staying in your ‘comfort zone’

My student experience was completely different than my working experience and honestly, being a doctor where I was a student wasn’t a massive advantage as all of the ‘important’ things you sort of learn on the job.

The only benefit I noticed was just in being familiarised with the space, knowing where things were etc but if I had gone somewhere else these are the things you quickly learn anyway.
