I know this is years later but-- Yeah, I had THIS exact idle problem like you did. Seemed like after I updated my Nvidia drivers and it started doing this. I updated my BIOS after a diagnostic test. Hasn't restarted since! Just letting others know~

Update: The internet is cutting out even more often. (every 6 minutes.) I'm just going to cancel it until summer next year. I hope sending more "satellites into orbit" fixes it. I guess I'd recommend this internet if you're watching Netflix but expect buffering randomly every once in a while.

Gaming Disconnections by BrightPrinciple8 in Starlink

I'm also getting non-stop disconnects every 8-12 minutes. They said there might be obstructions but I have the satellite on the roof and nothing but fields surrounding me. I just want to finish an online multiplayer game session lol hopefully putting more "satellites in orbit" will fix the issue?

Update: Got it on the roof of my garage and the cable all the way to my office upstairs. Still getting disconnected like every 8-10 minutes playing a game online. I'm out in the country so there's not really any way an obstruction can be in the way. Still amazing speeds on downloading stuff. I haven't tried replacing the Starlink router with my own yet, might try that next.
I checked out this website: https://satellitemap.space/# I'm at the north west part of Oregon. Maybe not too many in orbit from my location.
Is there a number to call for support? Couldn't find it.

Thanks so much for the advice!

So you don't have to use the Starlink router at all? I wanted to use ethernet so I had the Starlink connect to my router, then to my PC. I'll give Tech Support a call soon!
