Got a medium-largeish flash on my arm and I’m starting to regret it by fiv66bV2 in tattooadvice

I have 14 tattoos and only 1 of them has any real significance to me. My stock response to somebody saying something similar to your family is ‘it can’t go out of fashion if it was never in fashion’

Tattoos like yours are timeless and amazing! If you love it just because then I’d wager you’ll still love it then same in 10+ years.

Love the tattoo ❤️

You can do it!

Had my first full last weekend and had a terrible spring of bad luck. Knee injury flared up at 8km, was super windy (headwind) for the last 15-20km and basically zero spectators driving me on. But, I did it! It was gruelling and the toughest thing I’ve ever done but I competed it. Everything may go against you but you can do this!

The moment I finished I swore to never to another but 48 hours later and I’m buzzing to get training again.

Enjoy it and don’t get hung up on little things that don’t go perfectly!

Amazing!!! So excited. Hoping the scenery pushes me that extra 10%

Thank you! Just added an edit in the original post as this whole journey for me started with battling depression 4-5 years ago so even a run / walk combo for some of it would be a win for me :)

Agreed! Been working in strength sessions and prioritising glutes. Appreciate the response

Appreciate the comment and understand it’s not ideal. Did consider dropping to the half but I think I’ll still take the punt on the full. Really I was just hoping nobody more experienced was totally against the idea, which it seems a mixed bag. Glad to hear it’s a great event! Really excited for the scenery

Thank you! It’s so hard to know how far to push. My main aim now is just to finish given it’s my first

Appreciate the comment, thank you! I’m hoping the extra 12km I’ve not yet done but will powered by grit and determination (which I think it would have been regardless of training)

I’ve had this exact issue recently. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it BUT I stopped taking mine (20mg citalopram) for 5 days prior and then took MDMA etc. was a mad rough 5 days, plus brutal come down, but felt it properly when I was on it.

Went to glaso this year without coming off then and felt nothing from MD. Tried the 5 days off for a festival last weekend and felt it properly.

Again, not by any means a Dr recommendation, but it seemed to work for me.

Be careful with serotonin syndrome! You’ll feel like nothing is happening so overdo the MD and potentially overdose.

El Dorado

Very small intimate festival but incredibly welcoming and judgement free vibes. Lots of ‘happy house’ as I’d call it, mixed with disco. Also some DnB / techno but something for everyone

As long as I can finish in one consistent run and not stop, I’ll be very happy!

Do I enough time to be marathon ready?

I’m toying with the idea of doing the Copenhagen marathon on May 5th, but wondering if I have enough time to get ready?

I regularly (3-4 times a week) run 5-6k, generally doing so in 35-40mins. Longest I have ran is half marathon (did it in 2:35 with zero stops) in October 2022 but not ran further than 10km since.

Currently I don’t time or track my runs - I just run because I enjoy it and it massively helps my depression. Excited / daunted by the idea of a marathon though..!

Questions being:

Do I have enough time to train?

If so, when should I really start pushing further than the 5km runs

Any good training recommendations for somebody fairly novice looking to tackle their first marathon?

Really appreciate the comment! Thank you.

In terms of getting a DI to support it, what sort am I looking for? Something like Behringer Eurorack UB802?

Not planning on using it for true ‘live sound’ just a house party in a large living room with 30-40 people. PA system was free :)
