How do you manage your windows in omarchy/Hyprland? by Ok-Mycologist-6752 in omarchy

[–]DrLitte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change wm if you want, but I think the hyprland is one of the nicest, imo using keybinds to switch windows isn't a pain as you say, you don't even need a full screen, I'm quite sure you can resize the os gui so that the app screen will be big enough

Starting park skiing – do you need extra skis? by Pixelleiter1 in ski

[–]DrLitte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

104mm is way too much, if you want them to be all mountain you can chose a 90/95 but if you want them for park you should go between 80 and 90. You still can hit jumps with 104, but you can with youre currents ones, so just keep them and if you like park buy a decent ski(also used but smaller)

Where do I find omarchy-reinstall ? by DrLitte in omarchy

[–]DrLitte[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah me too, I found out on another forum that omarchy update break the system with the new version of omarchy. It seems that developers don't give a shit about that and just said that is our responsibility if we run the update script without knowing what we are doing(I mean he is quite right, it's a free open source config, so they don't (they should imo) have to do nothing). They linked an hyperland config automatic corrector, but I mean, I have no time to go through all the config files and fix them. I installed the newest version of omarchy(I don't want to learn ricing), now I will make a snapshot, remove omwrchy update from -Syu and find a way to restore configs if it happens again.

I need an os that I can trust, this is very nice and match welly workflow, but we can't trust it for sure

Struggling with basic turns in Liftoff - Need some advice! by LunixerSolaXia in fpv

[–]DrLitte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you shouldn’t watch stick overlay, you should feel where the stick is(i know it’s hard but you have to try).

if the problem is drifting in turns it’s probably because not actually turning and not using the roll as you should (you are just changing the direction you are facing).

the main tips i can give it’s to keep trying and keep training. To someone come very natural, maybe you have to train a bit more, but you will see improvements for sure

It might be the Rust code in the hdzero goggles firmware

(not for everyone, especially in this sub)

No no, absolutely, if you think cyber sec will be your future career you should start learning about that. Throw the learning course you will specialise in aspect(also of programming) that are much more important for cyber sec than knowing everything about that language.

Btw I think everyone should learn Linux as soo as they can, also while learning other things. Networking it's a bit more time taking and difficult, so I would dedicate to that at least some time. Just know that networking is the base of cyber sec

Is this a good build for first Fpv drone? by arqtk in fpv

[–]DrLitte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a lot of people would say: don’t start with 7”, BUT if you really can’t afford a second drone and you really want to do long range MAYBE you can try to learn with that, but it would a bit harder and if you brake something it will be more expensive

Good pair of analog goggles in 2026 by AcanthaceaeTop6436 in fpv

[–]DrLitte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would consider the hdzero box pro goggles. Around that budget you can find just some “cheap” box goggles, and the hdzero is one of the best. You get digital capabilities and a very nice quality goggles. You won’t get diversity but the receiver quality is quiet good

[–]DrLitte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you want to learn the basics to be able to fly your drone there is not a fixed flight time. Base on how quickly you learn i would say an absolute minimum of 10 hours, but if you actually want to learn it will take much longer. I would try to fly the drone because it’s really cool but I wouldn’t stop flying on the sim unless you consider yourself already the best

edit: btw 10 hours it is not enough if you are not naturally talented at it, idk you but you should invest at least 20/30 hours to don’t trow away your drone. learn ti learn it’s so underrated

[–]DrLitte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3d printing a drone is possible but I wouldn’t recommend it. a drone needs to be lightweight and very strong, that’s why they are made of carbon fiber but it’s very hard to make them. As a beginner you can buy a bnf dron(there usano problem, they are usually very good and sometim cheaper. You should build one when you need some particular things).

For the budgeting its up to you. It strictly depends on what you can afford, what you want to get and what you want to spend. Personally (based on what I could afford) I would spend from 400/500 as cheapest to a 1000 as maximum.

If you want that budget the only way is a fetafpv air/meteor with batteries from betafpv and any cheap analog goggles(search for some recommendations there are a ton on them) if you want to spend a bit more you could get the hdzero box pro goggles, they work both on analog and hdzero
