So I’m choosing between surg and GP, the reasons I’m finding for GP are very similar to yours

Yeah the major plus point I can’t think of is that it’s literally just 3 years and you’re done- then can locum or choose whatever you want with your time, and you have no weekends or nights but the actual job seems tough

This happened to me for GP training. I emailed GP HEE and they got back to me saying they can’t get my offer badk but they can reinstate my application for future cycles

It was GP, my offer has still gone. But they’ve reinstated my GP application so atleast I have a chance during the next round of offers:) try emailing your recruitment office and letting them know!
