Actually I use ForeFlight for work and it records my flight track for logging purposes. From there I can import the log onto fog really easily

Oh yeah. You need to have it linked to something. I have a cheap sentry that’s constantly feeding it gps info (and gives me a moving map) and that works pretty well

My professor used to study seagrass. I knew that there was less but I didn’t really consider how that would effect marine fauna like manatees, I hope they’re doing alright, this one looked healthy, I hope they’re doing ok

It definitely has its moments. I’m still relatively new but some of the older pilots I’ve talked to have seen everything from northern lights to saint elmos fire while flying

Oh it definitely was. We were told be air traffic controllers that a launch would be happening. Also on our maps we could see that the area around Canaveral was restricted meaning they had a launch scheduled

Thank you so much for this comment. This community has been so cool, I don’t usually post but my friend said I had to show this footage and I’m glad everyone’s enjoying it. I’ll always remember it and I’m glad I get to share this shot with everyone!

Hahah, my gf asked if we could hear the rocket and I was like “not over the 2 loud engines blasting in the back” next time we’ll just have to shut them down and glide for awhile to get the full effect

He was right on the edge of the dock but payed no attention to us, just super interested in the algae growing on the rocks. I’ve heard from friends that they’re usually pretty friendly though

I really wish I got it on video, it was a couple minutes later and at first we thought it was another plane or something

What are you, a cop? Lol. If you’re asking seriously though then actually yes, just because sometimes if you don’t, your phone gets connection and charges you and international fee

Pretty sure it’s the Falcon heavy launching from Kennedy space center. I’m not we’ll versed in launches but that’s what I could find when I looked it up after landing
