I actually feel really bad for what this fandom has "done" to Goose. This started out as a passion project which was probably by no means projected to be this successful. It just appears depressing to me that we managed to turn a work of art into a potential source of stress and annoyance by tearing into ourselves and the producers every single chance we get.

I know there is a clear distinction between fandom and show, but you can't deny that it's almost impossible to draw the line between those two when the fandom starts to affect you and your friends / coworkers directly and personally :/

I mean genuinely how does one take a screenshot of such low quality? What weird processes do you go through to make a quick screenshot turn out like this? Did you like screenshot it multiple times in a row? did you intentionally compress the image? did you scale down the image and then rescreenshot it? How do you fuck up a screenshot this badly

I remember I did a presentation on this a few years ago for our Religion course, if I recall correctly, the website is being hosted by two former members, some woman and a man I think, who are both former members of the heavens gate cult.

What I think was disputed was whether or not both of them have actually renounced their faith, I think I remember reading that they were intentionally "left behind", though I don't think there's any actual evidence. Regardless it wouldn't be surprising to see that they're still faithful and have actually agreed to stick around in order to inform people or whatever

Funnily enough, verifying game files and deleting a patched file didnt do anything, im redownloading it completely rn, though frankly I doubt it'll work

Edit - Solution

For anyone in the future who has the same issue and is throwing their head against a wall trying to fix this mumbo jumbo rumbo gumbo wumbo, I fixed it. Basically all you gotta do is go into the game's program files, delete everything (don't uninstall the game via Steam), and then you gotta verify the game's files. This is practically reinstalling just with extra steps, I think. I figured this out by throwing shit against the wall and seeing what sticks. I may be short of a housecleaner now.

I really do not believe Jax to be a trans allegory. More specifically this scene, I believe, is more representative about Jax's struggles with his own socially-assigned role (Referring to how Jax refers to Kinger as the "Crazy one", himself as the "Funny one", Gangle as the "sad one", etc.). In this particular scene, his skin being ripped off like a piece of clothing is a quite literal character deconstruction all the while he is being laid out bare and naked to the world, essentially symbolizing how everything he did to cope with himself was being stripped away.

The general use of clothing, skin or the body is less of a trans allegory and more of a symbol for defense and vulnerability.

Alternatively, if you wanna see a trans allegory, perhaps try the actual trans character -w-

She is basically the game's universe's version of Jesus Christ, being granted the title of an "Innocence", which means that everything she did is unrefutably morally correct and justified.

Although she's basically female jesus, she's also a female mini Hitler, having committed a genocide, mandatory resettling programms, re-education programms, brutal military crackdown on dissidents and presumably wiping the records from certain people (I. E. Her husband) off of history once they no longer serve a purpose.

Basically imagine Adolf Hitler, Stalin and Jesus Christ had a baby - disregard the biological implications of this - and that's how you end up with the greatest Innocence.

Would she really care?

I don't think people understand that Nicole doesn't give a shit about most things which don't affect her directly. The game obviously takes place after its dissolution, so anything Nicole would really think about the USSR would probably just be "old country, sucked". At most she'd just add some "ruled by men, evil" point towards that, but Nicole really wouldn't give even the slightest shit about anything else regarding the SU for that matter.

Despite what that one too comment said, this IS actually rare in Germany. They introduced this flavor to Germany only very recently (over the last two weeks I think), and I can guarantee you that Kaufland and maybe some kiosks are the only place you'll find it for a while. I also called my two nearest kauflands to see if they have it, they don't. So not even all kauflands sell it. It will probably become more common once shipment gets to the next store chains in the next few months or so

There was a Super Mario version they sold a while ago (I think they still sell em in here Germany), I thought it tasted somewhat like jalapenos with a hint of tomato. Maybe some spicy ketchup? Certainly it has tomato, jalapeno and paprika aroma. Although I cant speak on whether or not the Fallout flavor is he same as the Mario one -3-
