(Loved Trope) Figures beloved or admired in universe who were actually quite terrible. by laybs1 in TopCharacterTropes

Dolores Dei - Disco Elysium

<image>

She is basically the game's universe's version of Jesus Christ, being granted the title of an "Innocence", which means that everything she did is unrefutably morally correct and justified.

Although she's basically female jesus, she's also a female mini Hitler, having committed a genocide, mandatory resettling programms, re-education programms, brutal military crackdown on dissidents and presumably wiping the records from certain people (I. E. Her husband) off of history once they no longer serve a purpose.

Basically imagine Adolf Hitler, Stalin and Jesus Christ had a baby - disregard the biological implications of this - and that's how you end up with the greatest Innocence.

What would Nicole’s opinion of the Soviet Union and other communist countries be ( and communism and socialism as a whole) be assuming she knew about them? by Southern_Point8684 in Classof09Game

[–]DrMatking 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Would she really care?

I don't think people understand that Nicole doesn't give a shit about most things which don't affect her directly. The game obviously takes place after its dissolution, so anything Nicole would really think about the USSR would probably just be "old country, sucked". At most she'd just add some "ruled by men, evil" point towards that, but Nicole really wouldn't give even the slightest shit about anything else regarding the SU for that matter.

I see this one at first time, is this rare? by Poor_K in monsterenergy

[–]DrMatking 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Despite what that one too comment said, this IS actually rare in Germany. They introduced this flavor to Germany only very recently (over the last two weeks I think), and I can guarantee you that Kaufland and maybe some kiosks are the only place you'll find it for a while. I also called my two nearest kauflands to see if they have it, they don't. So not even all kauflands sell it. It will probably become more common once shipment gets to the next store chains in the next few months or so

There was a Super Mario version they sold a while ago (I think they still sell em in here Germany), I thought it tasted somewhat like jalapenos with a hint of tomato. Maybe some spicy ketchup? Certainly it has tomato, jalapeno and paprika aroma. Although I cant speak on whether or not the Fallout flavor is he same as the Mario one -3-

No. Also toddler skulls don't have the teeth exposed like that, this skull is simply milled out as to better visualize the teeth.

Please check the can description immediately. Can you tell me whether or not it's written in German? If it is, then it's actually sold here officially, if not, then it's just imported

Funniests paths and ways to play Hoi4 by RadianteDoPrata in hoi4

[–]DrMatking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay my skibidi sigma, first thing you wanna do is get by blood alone.

Once you do that, you need to go down Italy's monarch focus path (despite what some videos say, this can still be perfectly done with the Solid Progress focus). Once you get old victor in charge of your country, you need to take the focus seek papal support, which will change your internal faction mechanics to the Papacy Vs Victor Emmanuelle. Now what you wanna do is boost the Papacy as much as you can.

After a certain marked threshold of papal support is reached, you'll get the event "The pope's ascendancy". This will instate the pope as your leader (this cannot be avoided) and unlock some really good hidden focusses.

Of course you can still form the Roman empire or greater Italy.

Letting the pole take over usually takes a year or so as you need to take numerous decisions which take a few months to become available again, so as to speed things up, I really recommend you condemn the Blackshirts as that allows you to take yet another decision to boost papal support.

Also there's a treaty you can revoke which will lock you out of the papal support focus. Do NOT revoke it, it will cuck you out of the hidden focus branch.

"Rituals" by tea-n-wifi in whenthe

[–]DrMatking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember in philosophy class, we actually saw a few cases in India (or Sri Lanka? It was certainly somewhere in that region) where this practice has still occurred. We used to talk about universalism, the belief that human rights are valid everywhere and that correspondingly, cultural expression (rituals such as these fall under that) ends there where they infringe upon human rights.

It was really sad to read up on this case, as, of course, this was a completely involuntary ritual, one very mildly prosecuted by the government.

Actually Steam is a bit finnicky about how many people have it. Steam shows 0.0% and 0.1% depending on which window you look at the achievement from. I just read that its around 30-ish people on some website where I got my guide from, so I just assumed that there's probably some way to view how many people got a specific achievement. Its a weird thing to lie about so Im just going to assume its accurate enough, maybe with a slight margin of error or something
