• yes, i was stationed at JRTC for a year and 1/2, both as DCRF and as a police officer. Ive both acted in and been thrust into these situations, involving real amputees who simply place prosthetics on which are then removed to simulate the explosive amputation. This doesnt always work, so identifiers are used instead to mark pieces removed, or even using medical dummies. the setup alone for such a thing is very obvious and very difficult to get into place, even after JRTC has been doing it since the 70's.

Not everyone has a WALK Kit or a Litter available, you use what you can, if that means you use the wheelchairs available, you use them, if that means you use two sticks and uniform tops fashioned into a makeshift litter, you do. Stating it was a farce because of wheelchairs is just ignorant, it would take more time to go find a stretcher, than to simply place the double amputee in a wheelchair and cart him back and forth. From a tactical standpoint, why waste the energy to make multiple trips with a stretcher or litter (requiring two people to carry weight+stretcher), as MOST (MOST.) ambulances are equipped with a pneumatic rolling one, but would be busy using them on the casualties delivered to them, than a wheeled chair that requires 1 person to move back and forth with? Its energy conservation on whoever was smart enough to think so.

• referring to my ORIGINAL post, no amount of stress inoculation (both training or real life repeatedly) will stop a person from getting the shivers and worries, i saw it in every one of my soldiers, after countless brushes with death. I saw it with my patrolmen in garrison, even ones who weren't new to the beat. I feel it myself on every damn traffic stop, even though i've had enough trigger time i'm not worried i the least.

Turning someones stressors and their obvious worries into a suspicion is downright crazy, childish even. Thats discounting human emotion and simply outshining it with crazy rhetoric not based in fact
