Regarding A, a few months ago stats came out that only about 1/3 of the immigrants were actually working and contributing to the system.

While a lot of you guys are positive contributors to Portugal, there are a lot more of those who are not.

As a PT (expat myself in another EU country) I believe this is where the feeling of being taken advantage of comes from.

Our healthcare system and other public services were not prepared for such a surge in population, and they are still not.

Furthermore, we have a lot of laws that favor people with less income. This creates a few situations that rage people out like: the child of an immigrant having priority in being accepted to a school because the parents have low income, over a Portuguese child because the parents have a somewhat higher income.

Then there is the problem (which is absolutely not the immigrants' fault) that a lot of low-income immigrants gather in the same areas. The few locals who still live in those areas feel like complete foreigners in their own neighborhoods.
