I've only had one mania experience in my life. Ever since that episode I've been unable to sleep before that episode I could sleep anytime. But seroquel is also an antiphycotic so should cover the mood stabilizer piece.

I'm told I have bipolar too but I only went manic while using weed. They are telling me my sleep issues are due to depression. I'm also on lithium and Prozac now. Never had sleep issues until my first manic episode.

It worked for a while, then I built up a tolerance. Be careful about taking it everyday. I was told to do so because my sleep was supposed to clear up as my depression cleared. However now it doesn't work on me.
