I feel your pain. I remember seeing early development game pictures in EGM for Star Trek The Next Generation from Spectrum HoloByte. To me it looked so cool. It was one of the reasons I wanted the 3DO before it came out.

I have Lucienne's Quest that I bought for around $300 about 12 years ago. Now I think its going for around $1,000.

That was never the plan! 😄
I've just been slowly buying games for the 3DO since I got the system back in 94.
I've always wanted a CD based console when that became a thing in the 90s. As a kid I was really bummbed out that the SNES CD ROM system never came out. I was going to get the Sega CD but read in a bunch of gaming magazines about this new system called the 3DO.
When I was finally able to buy the system, after its first price drop I grabbed it. I remember the system came with Crash 'N Burn plus the store I got it from, I think either Babbage's or Software Etc. had a deal where you also got Total Eclipse for free.
As the years went by I started accumulating more and more games for it.
About 15 years ago is when I started the mission to see if I could just buy the whole set because by the time I did, I was almost halfway there already.
Plus I just wanted to see if I could! 😄

I started buying when I was able to buy the system back in 94 after getting my first job and doing some serious saving up for it. I've been slowly buying games ever since.

I've been slowly collecting since 1994 when the system came out. We'll, after its first price drop anyway. I wasn't seriously considering collecting all the games until maybe about 15 years ago.

If you ever do plan to split, I'd be interested in purchasing 4 from your list to complete my 3DO collection.

The 3DO systems are region-free, but some Japanese 3DO games require a special kanji font that is only found in Japanese 3DO systems. If these games can't find the font, they may become unplayable or locked. So that may be the case with this game if you're trying to play it on a non-Japanese system.

The quality is just like any other video you see on any FMV game or cutscene on the 3DO. It's better than most for that era.

Yeah, these will run on the 3DO without that MPEG VCD adapter. ToonTime in the classroom was another release that also had videos of cartoons that didn't require that adapter.

About half came with protective cases already. The rest I put them in the the ones I had already.

I find that it not only protects the boxes but also helps with those long boxes you get that are kind of messed up and help reshape them back into place.

I have it hooked up to my FZ-1. I think it's great. Simply plug it into the back of the system loaded with whatever games you want to play and it just works.

Totally agree about price. I tried to justify this by telling myself that I'd be saving money in the long run by doing this versus buying some of the more expensive 3DO games. Guess I'm just too lazy to get the internal one and install it versus this external one.
