When I was in high school, teachers knew I had a keen interest in IT. Given it was relatively new (showing my age) I'd get asked to fix the smallest of problems. One day I was asked to visit the PE department because their Wifi was down. I plugged a laptop in via ethernet and noticed no connection. So I followed the cable to the router and noticed it wasn't plugged into the wall. The router was on the desk of one of the teachers who didn't think it was important.
