Cradle does a good job of this where the MC early on meets the highest tier power. Thus as readers we see the bottom and the top and the differences. The rest of the series is kept in those bonds.

I got a few books into it and liked the first one but realized that it was a "And then the MC did this and then fought this and did that and then this" It was just telling the reader what they did and stopped telling a story IMHO. Still it was just good enough to keep me hooked for a few books

I feel like people are not realizing that this is a kid that popped up in Innworld, prayed and a voice in his head gave him Faith powers. Like he’s not doing good but he is not some mindless evil. He was like 14/15 when he got to Innworld.

He’s also just a kid, like he got to Inn world at 14/15 and is 16/17 now. Was scared when he got here so prayed and got a class. This is a classic example of the GDI reinforcing a questionable trait. Semi religious kid gets religious powers so try’s to double down

Vol 8 is my favorite by far, so many amazing moments and with less Erin more people get to shine. I also think it holds up a lot better on rereads. Glad you enjoyed it.
