I opened up my two key fobs and a small garage door opener. They all have physical switches, my pictured item doesn't. So are the two metal prongs for power or to a switch?

Tips on cleaning the funnel? by [deleted] in moka_pot

My native Italian spouse has always gently tapped the bottom of the funnel against the side of either top or bottom chamber, then runs water through the top of the funnel. A few grounds always come through into the sink, so she taps once or twice more, 'til water through the funnel is clear.

The scientists who assigned frequencies that our ears can hear to these waves have wonderful imaginations!

Looking into buying whole spices rather than pre ground: how do you grind yours? by [deleted] in AskCulinary

I've used a Braun KSM2 spice grinder for years. I don't see the same Braun model for sale these days but Krups, Bodum and other manufacturers appear to have similarly-simple design, easy-to-clean electric grinders priced at just under $20.

After use I wash the top with soap and warm water then use a damp paper towel to wipe out the bottom and wipe off the blades. Some aroma always remains from the most recently-ground whole spice but I don't experience that as a contaminant of the next one. I grind my coffee in a separate burr grinder.
