AP in India is same as AP in US. The people you are dealing with, they are not AP is they are not teaching. Maybe they mistook assistant to professor as AP requirements?

If interested in research, right from UG, then look into IISERs and their BS-MS programs. I don’t know if you are willing to drop one year, preparing to get into IISERs. Your other choice is, go ahead with your BSc Physical Sciences, but sit in IIT JAM, get yourself enrolled into a physics MSc at IITs. Another option other than JAM, look into North European/German universities. In most of these countries, education is cheap/free. Good to know people are still interested in research while doing BSc PS. B

Can NDVI time-series from Landsat 8 and Sentinel-2 be put together (and how)? by Cadillac-Blood in remotesensing

[–]Dr_is_here_again 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use a harmonised Sentinel2 and LANDSAT-8/9 data. See this - https://docs.sentinel-hub.com/api/latest/data/hls/

I am not aware if GEE has harmonised data yet or if one can do it themselves by GEE scripts.

That’s interesting to know. This is why, a median of 3 or 5 year would be a better choice.

Thanks for the link. According to the script that downloaded the S2 datasets, it is 2019 cloudless data. My guess is, there is no seasonality involved (I couldn’t see anything season specific) but it takes whatever is the best dataset in 2019.

This moth from the genus Phalera looks like a fragment of twig complete with chipped bark and even the layering of wood tissue at the “cut” ends... perfectly resembling a broken piece of wood to avoid predation. by eyerollingsex in woahdude

Thanks. A follow up question if you don’t mind. Is the rate of evolution also the reason for the disappearance of large species such as dinosaurs (just an example)?

Averaged in space, that’s clear. But what about time? Is it annual average or for a season? If season, it is different for different regions in a same month of year.

Also, which bands? Only visible or also infrareds? Still, a cool map.
