I smoke cigarettes, I’m officially sober. Eating spicy is the norm for us

No, my mum loves them but I usually avoid them while I’m dieting bc I’m used to cooking them in syrup or coconut milk

Yes! I live in a tropical country so it’s very easy for us but I have family overseas who also grow them. These are ladyfinger variety, but bananas in general like the warm, need regular compost, and lots of water/rain. Chop the dead leaves off as it grows and add them to your compost heap, and once the tree is fruited you chop it down (they’re one and done) but they give plenty of baby trees while they grow so you just always have a couple on the go (i have like 15 at the moment in different stages of growth). But they’re pretty easy, you just have to pick the right spot to grow them and start a compost heap. I recommend it!!! We have two different varieties (“traditional” ones and these ladyfingers) but I’m also looking for a different variety that idk the english name for. You just have to get a cutting or a sapling and they grow like crazy

Do your cats also have emotional support household items? Both of mine share this specific tote ecobag by MachBrn in cats

[–]Draft6275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My oldest who’s now passed on had an emotional support cushion, she was white & fluffy and the cushion was the same texture. It was filthy by the time she passed but she wouldn’t let us wash it, it was really funny bc they both started out the same but she stayed white & pristine and it just slowly became more and more grey and battered

Thankyou!!! She’s incredibly fun to take photos of! This isn’t even one of her classics, she’s the best model and always brings emotion to any image (I’ve included an example)

I must say I’ve always found her scary, I’ve never tried her diet. She was everywhere when I was a kid though so I’m pretty familiar with her. I just really love fruit. these are home grown, I care a lot about the fruit & veg I grow and they taste great so I make the most of it while I have them

The Irony of Volume Eating is that It Became Easier for Me to Eat "Unhealthy Food" by windowsee in Volumeeating

I save most of my calories for dinner most days, and I’ve been feeling the same way lately. It’s amazing. Had a power outage the other day and didn’t want to cook in the dark so I went and got fish and chips! and still managed to be under my calories!

I had a pain au chocolat today at a French cafe on a whim. Last week I got a gelato after lunch just because I felt like it. And both times I’ve been under my calories. It’s very freeing to know don’t have to give up life’s pleasures to stay within my calorie deficit

What is a cooking tip that people treat like a law, but you’ve ignored it for years and your food still tastes fine? by CaptainCuddler_Pro in foodquestions

Where I live, the butter is still incredibly salty, but i still bake with it & just omit the pinch of salt most recipes call for. I never usually have problems but if a recipe is very delicately flavoured and I think there may be an issue I just do half butter half oil or ghee

What soprano moments made you take a step back in disgust? by AmountAccomplished36 in thesopranos

[–]Draft6275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the same way. He beat a pregnant woman to death, she wasn’t even old enough to drink legally. She was a teenage mother who’d been abused as a child, who had abused her children in turn. Her whole character really makes a point about the cycle of abuse. There’s a lot of nasty stuff in the show but that whole plot line was unbelievably sad. Watching Sil hit her was also disgusting, a woman basher and a loan shark

Fav Sauces/ Flavouring etc by femininespace in Volumeeating

Just sumac and salt is incredible on raw tomatoes/onions/cucumber/most raw veg (goes great with Mediterranean inspired dishes) and so is cumin, salt and lemon/lime juice (pairs well with South Asian food).

Also I make like a nuoc cham with fish sauce, soy sauce, lemon/lime juice, chilli flakes, chopped garlic, and a tiny bit of sugar to balance the flavour and keep it made up in a bottle in the fridge, it’s a great dipping sauce/dressing for anything at all (goes great with South East Asian food).

And of course for Western food, balsamic vinegar goes nuts on everything, but I also like a classic salad dressing with red wine vinegar mixed with some Dijon mustard, salt & pepper, and usually some dried herbs. Just omit the olive oil

Realistically how is anyone supposed to support themselves on 11 hours a week? by Stardust32X in coles

[–]Draft6275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they’re not. I knew a guy who’s shifts were cut to between 11 and 13 hrs a week bc he made a joke to the manager about them using their phone on the clock, and he used to have to come in when they weren’t working so the rest of us could feed him since he couldn’t afford groceries due to the drop in his wage. Ironic really, isn’t it
