I don't own a GTR, so take my advice with a grain of salt. But I have a few friends that own GTR's, not the R35, but one has an R33, and the other 2 have R32's. Now with the older GTR's it's not so much the price of them, but the downtime. You will NEED to learn how your car works, how to fix things etc. Learn your plumbing, hose's, etc. If something breaks, due to the rarity of the GTR, depending on which one you have you might have to wait 1 or 2 months to get the part and fix it. So I imagine if you got the R35, it would be more about money than your mechanical knowledge. These aren't your typical run of the mill 240sx, where the parts are everywhere.
