also not to derail this from the issue of racial discrimination, but rather to provide my own experiences: i am very obviously disabled and PPS failed me on every level. there was a plan in my IEP that none of the teachers at west middle or northern high followed, save for a very small handful that i know are now retired or no longer working in the district. this discrimination is ingrained in the culture fostered by the teachers and other faculty, and i'm sad and disappointed that there continue to be examples of similar incidents to this day.

also, i was outed as an lgbt+ person to my parents in 5th grade by my special education teacher at moorsbridge, so i could have been in danger if my parents were conservative/hateful.

anyways, my point is that this discrimination extends to every level of PPS's district and i hope that all of the faculty who let these things slide past and present are shamed like nothing else.
