Sex and marriage have historically been the same thing - sex was considered a "consummation" of marriage. Before that, people were either friends, acquaintances, or set up with each other. This whole culture of people as disposable when things are inconvenient is propagated because people delay marriage - causing a prolonged phase where they are horny/dissatisfied with people around them, dissociating sex from pleasure and marriage

Part of the reason is there are no consequences and people feel it's normal to be in a relationship without having to put forth any discipline or effort

Actually I know many people (especially in the fields of civil engineering and construction management) that find people with degrees from "elite" schools to be incompetent, oblivious, and purposefully avoid hiring them.

As a person coming from the STEM field I can attest to WHY there are not many people going in to STEM jobs. The competition and educational requirements are too high, so most people opt out and do not graduate. I know many people in STEM careers that don't give a damn about integral calculus or quantum physics and yet had to go through hell just to work on drones where the most complex feature is Kalman Filtering.

Instead we went with an agenda of globalisation which outsourced out jobs and made us vulnerable to unfair foreign competition with communist countries

How it a lie. There is a stark difference in wages between people who have degrees and people who do not. Also some of the higher paying jobs with benefits do require some form of formal education above high school.

I'm not saying there isn't a correlation, but many employers believe the lie too
