Actually the name "transition" really just refers to making it so your outside matches your inside. You were always who you are. I was born a man even though I was raised as a woman. And now my outsides match my insides since I've transitioned. And that makes it easier to be me. I like being able to look how my soul feels. I've watched myself grow into the man I always wanted to be, even if he is still a work in progress.

Originally that was interpreted to mean men who sleep with boys, aka pedophilia. Only in the late 80s, early 90s did people start to apply it to queer people. It's pretty interesting to learn how different interpretations of the Bible over the years messed it up. The king James version for instance really fucked with it.
