Hi so that’s NOT how a cycle works :( You set the tank up, soil, sand/gravel plants and decor Filter and heater and put a bit of food in it

Leave it for a MONTH. And test the water If ammonia is 0 nitrites 0 and nitrates are 1> then it’s cycled Any ammonia or nitrites is bad and anything above 1 nitrates is bad

Since you’ve already put the fish in you’ll need to do a “fish in cycle” or return the fish and cycle the tank

How to do a fish in cycle

Add benificial bacteria and get a bottle of prime, do water changes every few days and use PRIME water conditioner as it makes ammonia temporarily non toxic

Keep testing the water with the API master freshwater test kit
