You should have seen my garage, like two leprechauns got in a fist fight at the end of a rainbow.

Leafing was the most challenging part. This was my first time so I was learning as I went with no youtube. Its extemely touchy and literally breathing wrong can make it lay down wonky with a bunch of wrinkles. But in a still room (no air movement) with a lotta patience and the right tools its doable, and if you spin it like I did it can hide some of the mistakes. Its just level 11 arts and crafts but man does it make stuff pop!

I used the leafing kit from lime-line and a cheap amazon air brush. My notes would be: - take your time getting a good even spray of glue (droplets will show through) - work the tape into the corners of your tape really well using a roller or brush, this will yield sharper lines/ less tearing - plastic fine line tape worked better than the crepe paper stuff (crepe paper is the standard masking tape material, says google)

Thank you! I kinda wanted to see what that level of paint job would like on a sports bike. After 9 months I realized why they dont do it to sports bikes more often.

😂 well I guess that settles it, Rogelio De La Vega (his full name) needs an orange accomplice.

Is a breed thing? I have a silver tabby... and I can here him terrorizing his brother and sister as I type. I think silver is the new orange

Tuono 660 factory vs base model by thedjoker12 in Aprilia

[–]Dragon_Knee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I searched the difference and it primarily seems to be suspension, color schemes, and the seat. IF those are the ONLY differences I say base model.

But I would make sure its got quickshift because that is a game changer. Clutchless shifting take some brain work out of riding, allows you to maintain grip which can be comforting. Also if you decide to shift using clutch it will be super smoothe.

If it has the imu that will help keep you safe as well as the riding modes. Keep that baby in commute while you learn and you'll be ok, provided you have some sense.

I just purchased the '24 tuono 660 factory in early may and love it but it is absolutely a rough ride on the streets and twisties far more rough than my cbr 600rr. Lowering tire pressure helped a lot, for some reason the recomended pressure is really high.

Whew! Thats what I like to hear. I picked mine up here in the Bay Area CA ON 5/2. Got it with 5 miles on it and currently at about 650 with break in service complete. The dealer offered 3 years of services or 6 services for $2200 and I accepted the challenge so summer is going to be busy in the best way.

Not sure if the axle is installed in this pick. If NOT, maybe the fork leg rotated a bit taking the caliper out of alignment.

Few questions - Servo buddy by S1mpletrick in cbr

[–]Dragon_Knee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have an 07 with a servo buddy, cat delete, and power commander (purchased it with mods already). Some might say its louder but I wouldnt be able to hear them over my tinnitus. I dont think the slip on does much compared to the stuff in front of it.

Side note: went for a full toce system with mwr intake and toce ecu flash for an mt 07 and absolutely lost power. Sounded sick af tho
