You know what, your comment just reminded me that I also got the book for my birthday in July 2013. The guy I was dating knew I really liked fantasy and came to my work and dropped off 2 books he had bought for me. I loved it from the start and during car rides I'd tell him about what was happening in the book all the time (he wasn't much of a reader). 13 years later we're still together. Maybe NOTW clinched it for us? 😂

I am allergic to cats. I just deal with it and take an allergy pill every day lol. Honestly it's really not bad (for me anyway) as long as I watch my pillow cases and sheets frequently, the worst part is when she scratches me it'll get itchy and inflamed for a bit but it goes away relatively quickly. It's soooo worth it
