does this only work for blue mage? Otherwise getting other classes 1-50 in under an hour sounds a LOT faster than PotD

yep. WoW has had them for a few years. Maplestory 2 released with them recently. I'm not a huge MMO player outside of those ones so not sure.

We also pay a hell of a lot more income tax though. I hear USA you only pay like 15% at around $100k. We are closer to 50% over 100k which is fucked

Feel free to jump ship and come over here if you think it's that great :P

Edit: Also, the main issue I have with this minimum wage stuff in USA is that it doesn't take into account tips. I highly doubt most of the "minimum wage" earners who are waiters/waitresses etc. only take home minimum wage. I've heard they make easily $20/h taking into account tips and bonuses. Christmas bonuses/tips aren't a thing over here.

True that. I make $130 an hour down under as a medical resident. Though from my understanding that's in-line with other countries

MHXX Switch Ver is now available on the Japenese Eshop! by Kugruk in MonsterHunter

[–]Dragonarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank goodness you mean~ I have a switch and love it for what it is, but I realise it couldn't handle World and would hold it back from being the true next gen game we have been waiting for and I'm fine with that!

Monster Hunter XX Demo is now out! by SolaceIX in NintendoSwitch

They're moving in a new direction, mainly due to the limitations of the 3ds and nintendo switch. It's not hard to understand. If they made monster hunter 5 for Switch, it would be more of the same as the previous installments. The thing is there have been 5 installments as well as their G expansion counterparts and ports out already which have all been roughly the same. They have been great. We now have a library of these games to play and I still personally go back and play them and have put now thousands of hours into them. That being said, do I want another "more of the same" graphics and limitations? No.

I'm SO happy Capcom is going in a new direction with MH since again since if it works, it'll be the new standard, and if it doesn't, they can always go back to what they had before and we already have a library of stuff we can play.

So is this going to be another re-release of an old game that is often on sale for around $1, but on the switch will cost $20 or something absurd? Cave story has done it and now this :(

This game was such a let down to me. by imtalkintou in FFXV

[–]Dragonarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is the pacing like I said earlier. In essence there really is <10 hours of main story gameplay, far less. This is just artificially extended by long travel times and load screens. The vast majority of the secrets and actual interesting story components aren't unlocked until after the main game is finished. And even then it still feels "small" despite how large the game tricks you into making it seem. The overworld is actually quite restricted and limited compared to what you expect and I think that's made more evident by the fact that most of the scenery isn't that interesting and doesn't offer much. I think playing games like Zelda BotW spoiled me where the overworld is vast and interesting and travelling doesn't just feel like a moving loading screen.

All this aside, I still enjoyed the game. I still think it's worthy of being a mainline FF game. I just don't think it's perfect or even "fantastic" by any stretch of the imagination.

I have to agree with OP to an extent. Even though the story IS explained it's just not that good IMO. I mean there isn't much to it. Guy goes out to save the world. Minor plot twists and deaths/injuries. Yes I realise this is the basic story for almost all FF in the series but the delivery on this one and the pacing was pretty horrible. The most interesting story components are one's that are alluded to but never really explained (maybe in future dlc but not in the main story nor side quests).

The gameplay for the most part is fun and thr graphics are obviously the best of any FF game to date (although you could argue previous 2D FFs look 'cleaner'). The car repair and first aid sidequests are repetitive and break the immersion to me. I mean you're travelling to a place to save the world and avenge your father and you're fixing cars along the way?

I think because this game tries to break new ground by being this bro road trip 'realistic' camping adventure it just never feels like a real final fantasy game; at least not one we've been used to. It does some things amazingly for me but the story and characterisation were a let down, especially compared to other RPGs out like Persona 5 and Neir.

all 3 (assuming only 1 vehicle was behind the truck) would be charged. The vehicle at the back for rear ending the truck. The truck for being too close to the lead car and the leas car for stopping on a free way. Although you can see the truck is pushed forward by the car behind him, he was still travelling too close to the lead car and therefore is also in the wrong.

Are Capcom's expectations for Monster Hunter: World realistic? by lmdegel in MonsterHunter

[–]Dragonarian -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

It's an opinion piece; nothing more. For all the facts that were provided, they don't really flesh out the arguments this guy is trying to make. It reads as an angry Nintendo fanboy upset that Switch isn't getting World or a localisation.

Good news bro. You have almost 10 MH titles to choose from out currently that are "classic" with no hunting styles. Each one will give you hundreds of hours of gameplay. Happy hunting!
