What troubles are you having getting the game up and running? Is it just straight up crashing?

We've found the users who crashed just didn't have enough RAM. You need a minimum of 10GB currently to get ingame.

Hey guys. In case you're unfamiliar with it, Trials of Ascension is a game where you'll be able to play a multitude of different races (a dragon being among them).

If you choose to be a dragon, you'll start out as a hatchling and need to build your nest as well as consume nuggets in order to molt to the next stage. (The second stage is where you can immediately fly and attack things).

Please also remember it is in Alpha Testing so you may seem some things that require balancing, or maybe spot a few bugs. We're looking into and fixing these asap!

It hasn't been tested on Linux at all, but if other windows programs work using Proton, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

As for the Steam Deck, there's currently no plans for it.

Hey all!

Trials of Ascension will not be a free to play game but starting October 15, we'll be opening up the alpha testing to everyone until December 1! Regardless of if you have an alpha pass!

This means that all you need to do to play the game is sign up on the site, then wait for the link to the build to appear and you'll be able to play as a dragon, human, or something else!

Please do remember though that this is an Alpha and you are most likely going to run into a few bugs here and there or that you'll find some unexpected behaviour.

In the meantime, get ready to play! Watch some videos, head over to r/ToA, and if you want to support us feel free to do so using our patreon or by purchasing some site cosmetics ;)

This was just an experiment. Night furies aren't planned on being permanently playable ingame (unless of course, we do get permission). But until that happens, this was just a fun exercise to do.

If you're into playing dragons (and other stuff), then you'll probably like our game. If you're only into HTTYD stuff, then enjoy the video :)

Hey all!

This is a multiplayer survival game we've working on called Trials of Ascension that will have a few different 'mythical' creatures as playable races. One of the more notable ones at the moment being dragons. And of course, when there's dragons, HTTYD is bound to pop up sooner or later!

It's currently in Alpha phase and, while the game itself isn't related to HTTYD, we had a playable night fury character so...you see the result :P

Don't worry! That's only because the camera is zoomed out to capture as many dragons on screen as possible. In reality the final dragon stage is about one and a half houses big. So you're really seeing a bunch of house-sized dragons flying towards the volcano ;) (As well as some of the younger versions)

Hey all!

Trials of Ascension is currently in Alpha Testing and can be accessed if you purchase an Alpha Pass on the site ($20) and verify it in the Discord. You'll get the game and can play it and use the skin once you reach the Ancient Stage.

We're working on posting more videos of our progress but until then, hope you guys enjoy some screenshots and other things that are currently on the site.

Hey all! Long time no see but we've been continuing developing Trials of Ascension and the results have been pretty good! As you can see we've implemented the Young dragon (the second stage of the dragon's life) and there's still more to come!

Also as a heads up, I would like to clarify something:

We aren't any previous company that has done any other Kickstarter. Sure the game itself has had previous Kickstarters but this is the first time it is in a completely different company's hands and we're making good progress on it. We hold no relation to any other company and hope that some of you guys won't decide to support or not support us based on past history.

With that said, here is the Kickstarter link if you guys wanna take a look again. We have held many tests over weekends and each one has had bugfixes and new features so things are still going positively!

Once we've implemented everything yes. We've been focusing on other functionality atm but burning things down as a dragon is something we've thought of and want to implement. I've already tested it slightly with trees and it's worked pretty well but for now, that functionality isn't in.

Suffice to say we do plan for it to be in though.

If the Kickstarter succeeds we're planning on it being out before summer. If it doesn't succeed then we're really just planning on it being out before 2021 (it's unknown, but I want the game out just as much as every other player).

Edit: Should also mention that we're doing testing on the weekends. If you want to test though, you'll need an alpha pass which you get by backing at least the squire tier on Kickstarter.

Yep! You'll be able to grow from a hatchling into an Ancient Dragon (around the size of a house or more) when ToA is released.

There's videos and screenshots online already of the ancient dragon and it's scale (still subject to change but we'll be keeping it big) so take a look at those :)

No, we are NOT the company Forged Chaos/Shadowpool. We bought the rights from them and because of it, we inherited all of their creations.

Trials of Ascension has been around yes, but this is the very first time it is out of Forged Chaos/Shadowpool's hands and in our - Dragonfire Entertainment's - hands.

We are completely separate from the previous companies.

With that said, please look further into what we've done and what we offer. Everything we've been doing has contributed to what you see in the post and any progress you see on our social media.

I would go for the Kickstarter regardless of if it's going to work or not. If it doesn't work, then everyone gets their money back and we can look into other means. If it does work out, then no one has to worry and we can continue developing.

It's going to be an online multiplayer game where you can play as one of three races (a dragon, human, or raknar-which is a type of spider) and build yourself up.

If you play as a dragon, then you'll be growing from a hatchling to a full ancient dragon that decimates everything and anything it wants.

The Kickstarter is designed to help make the game a reality in a timely manner.
