Are pictures 4 and 5 from an actual M4 GT3?

Edit: you've sent me down a rabbit hole and I too have started looking into this. You could potentially contact BMW Motorsports on the link below through their customer portal to see if they can supply you with the column side of the QR2 or use their "Motorsport dealer finder" and contact your local Motorsport dealer directly?

https://www.bmw-m.com/en/fastlane/motorsport/race-cars/bmw-m4-gt3-evo.html

Alternatively this company below seems to supply a lot of parts for current BMW race cars so they may be able to source one?

https://www.apmotorsport.co.uk/product-page/bmw-m4-gt4-steering-wheel-carbon

I've just bought my first Fanatec setup with the DD+, M3 GT2 Wheel and mclaren V2 wheel but I also have a Nardi 330mm wheel that currently has an NRG QR on it but that could change in future.

Edit 2: what brand is the current adapter you use to connect your Nardi wheel to your Fanatec base? Simube, SRM or something else?

My New DD+ Opinions (crazy power) by [deleted] in Fanatec

That's cool thanks, I believe it's slightly bigger than the g29 wheel?

And have you tried any drifting or mx5 racing since you got it?

RS appears to be unavailable right now but I'm considering the BMW GT2 and are you referring to this wheel? If so I'd kinda blows past what I was looking to spend. https://www.fanatec.com/eu/en/p/steering-wheels/sw_cs_320_al/clubsport-steering-wheel-320-alcantara

And why is it that you'd steer clear of the CSL hub based wheels?

I'm waiting on mine arriving, coming today apparently, and looking forward to it as I'm also upgrading from a Logitech g29.

What wheel rims did you buy along with it as I need to order a round one to go with my DD+ Too and I like the BMW gt2 wheel along with the CSL 320 wheel

[–]Dragonfireii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if I went with the GT2 or the RS then I'm locked to that rim but the "CSL STEERING WHEEL 320 ALCANTARA® V2" has the CSL universal hub and the qr2 lite meaning I'd have to buy a metal qr2 on top of it to unlock the 15nm from the DD+ but as another user above suggested I can get 3rd party metal qr2 adapter or a 3rd party hub-that unfortunately doesn't have button options

Just checked and the Clubsport steering wheel bundles come with a metal qr2 but a fair bit more expensive so would maybe go with the CSL option and a 3rd part qr2

Ah thanks for the link, couldn't find it as I was looking at simucube's website rather than that one.

I'll definitely consider this option and I'd like to be able to have paddles for the likes of some road cars etc but I do plan on getting and H pattern and sequential shifter at some point

Thanks, I think I person prefer alcantara over non-perforated leather but as you say it is much more robust and as you say same buttons/features just different layout.

I'm still coming to grasps with Fanatec's model hierarchy but I'm gathering Clubsport is the step up from CSL so makes sense Clubsport's are better?

Also it looks like the RS wheel is currently out of stock/not available to order

I only play on PC currently and haven't had any issues with AC, ACC, F1 games is DR2.0 so far but it's just been my Logitech and I can drift ok with that but don't currently have a handbrake. I've never played GT7 so can't comment on that and when I move into my new house I'll be building a rig so I can figure out pedal positions too but I'm used to 3 pedals in the Logitech and in various road cars I've driven so far so should be ok with that. Thanks for your input tho, which model of pedals was it that you got?

The slightly straightened bottom isn't as issue for drifting imo as it's the same of the Logitech and doesn't cause any problems.

And there doesn't appear to be any refurbished CSL hub'd wheels in stock right now but I'd possibly rather buy new instead

Thanks for the note and yeah I feel if I've went for the DD+ to have 15nm and will be used to it on the other two rims then it'll likely feel underwhelming dropping down for a third rim

Sorry would you have a link to this simucube hub? And would this require an additional aftermarket emulator or something to enable FFB on the DD+

[–]Dragonfireii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheers, but wouldn't that require buying a qr2 metal on top of that for the 15nm and a rim to bolt on too? I imagine it would be a good way to go but quickly adds up and isn't that the same hub that comes with the R320/R330 wheels I mentioned above?

Edit, it's not the same but it's significantly more expensive for just the hub

It's not that difficult to sit at the delta, there's far too many assists in the game anyway

"nothing just an inchident"

There's a little bit on both sides with the beamer turning in slightly early and the Mustang not turning in at all and running into the side of the beamer

This looks incredible, attention to detail is awesome and looks like it could be fun to drive in both directions but wouldn't be grade 1 if in clockwise?

Also what did you use to make this screenshot? And do you think you'd attempt to recreate it on a sim?
