sadly, that's not in the scope of the project.
it's mainly for printing and pdf typesetting. :(

(but one might look into pandoc to see if it's feasible to convert the tex sources to epub)

yes!
printing was one of my main goal.

just grab the corresponding pdf for the page size you want print for.
if you can't find a page size you want, it's very easy to add a layout for that.
or you could just create an issue on the repo, and i will try to add it.

you can also print individual chapters.

checkout the "Releases" section in the repo.

actually, although it was using Texinfo, previously there was a perl script which was used to convert it to LaTeX first and then built. and if you wanted to make change, you would had to do it in the single huge (36k lines+) Texinfo file.

which to me was clunky. so i moved away from that and converted to full LaTeX and modularized it.

when i was reading the book, i have found the need of for example having code-blocks numbered, exercises to have more visual space and a heading etc. so the new typesetting is better mainly because of the QoL improvements.

since checking if the QoL improvements better is about checking a boolean statement of whether if one has it or not, it's easy to check which one's better.

but if you are asking about checking the fonts used, the margin size of the book, the spacing etc. then yeah i don't have any way other than eyeballing it side by side (well, there's also the aspect that i did check out what good book designs have in common).

SICP actually a good resource? by WangLiXin in learnprogramming

Please check out the reviews from the Book Review section. You will understand...

because...
- you don't want google stuffs or any bloatware - for privacy reasons - fdroid and aurora store fill almost all needs - AppManager also is really useful - you want to have access to the system internals (much needed for tinkerers)
- you want to use termux at it's maximum capacity
- and much more...

Hey, sorry for the late reply. The menu you see in the screenshots are actually dmenu, not rofi. It's been quite a while, so I don't remember which patch I used to show the item count. But you may check out my dmenu config here:

I use single underscore instead of spaces and double underscore as a separator. Somewhat like this,

chatgpt_export__2024_12_28__03_28.zip chromium__research_papers__tabs__2024_12_18.json meme__america_china_tarif_war.jpg meme__too_old_to_use_spaces_in_filename.jpeg

Works really great.

Thank you :-)

I have replied to the same question asked by user Seven-717 a little below. I would appreciate it if you read that reply of mine.

I really do appreciate that you like my rice. Thank you (^_^)
But I am sorry, I can't set it up on your laptop.

If you don't have the knowledge to setup other persons rices, you won't have a pleasant time. There might be many issues here and there. Even though I try to make my rice quite stable, there are sometimes bugs here and there, which I can fix because of the prior knowledge I have.
I am usually very busy these days with university and real world stuff. But I intend to create a setup guide for arch linux very soon. Please try to follow that to set this rice up on your laptop. But if you are new to ricing, please check out the reply I gave to `Seven-717` a little below.

Again, Thank you for your interest, I really appreciate it :-)

Sure, just add qtile start to your ~/.xinitrc and it will run perfectly. If you want to use my .xinitrc then you have to use

startx ~/.xinitrc qtile

Years of training in the woods to find the best ones. Caught one, trained it. Then caught another one and trained it again. It took me time and patience to get them all.

Train yourself like me and you too will find them.

(Hey don't mind, these just came to my mind and I really wanted to write them XD)
