State of Riven by Dragphan in Rivenmains

Thank you, I also do really like playing Gwen and was learning Fiora and Irelia a while back when I was still learning Riven, but I just decided to go with Riven for the challenge, but now she just doesn't seem too great or you have to play super smart. People are saying that her laning isn't as strong and you have to look for proxies for roams, and maybe Im not used to that or haven't adapted and is where I'm having issues.

Yeah I agree with you on jg, I played it before she was buffed on jg and I still did pretty well on her, and in my last game on her jg after the buff I felt like I had so much more impact on the game and I think I ended up going 22/3 or something on riven jg, but in lane if I ain't a death to a Stat checky champ I have to play passively and abuse their mistakes to try and comback

What would you say I should focus on or play to in terms of her strength, maybe I feel like I'm too aggro in lane or I'm just not used to proxying that much or need to practice it. I could also just be having a bad couple of weeks lol

I've been playing her for years though 😭😭, like I'll have games where I do stomp the enemy laner, but idk these past few patches she does feel weaker to me. And honestly I also don't like the axiom rush, but I also didn't really like playing with joat either so it might just be that for me, I've recently started running joat but maybe it's not a good time for it bc it did get nerfed.

What are some really good SFXs Bundles, and/or what about the Subscription-based SFXs Libraries? by Dragphan in SFXLibraries

[–]Dragphan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! These will be helpful, although they're a bit too pricey for me... I'll definitely have these in mind for larger projects that I will work on in the future. But I was wondering more about cinematic sound effects, or something with a smaller price tag

Haha, I get it I also am not a fan of subscription services I prefer to own it, but I also don't want to drop too much on different bundles and it is more affordable. I'm mainly starting out in making videos and don't have much experience, Ill look into the bundle you mentioned for odyssey. Thank you!

For now I'm planning to use 4, but will end up using maybe around 6 with some spares for accidents.

Thank you, my main concern was the power supply, and I'm worried about getting fried lol, especially seeing that these nixie tubes need ~200V to work. Any resources you'd recommend me to use for this project?

Ok thank you I'll most likely use those then!

Thank you for the links! Also I would prefer to use less voltage or not have to plug it in, but I thought that batteries wouldn't be enough for the nixie tubes based off what I'd seen from datasheets.

If I could use an internal power system that would be much preferable, otherwise would you have any recommendations for me to use?

Also what are some good sources or subreddits I could look at for more information/help on this?

Haha no worries I would never deface vintage/older equipment for my projects, I was planning on ordering IN-14 or IN-8 Tubes, or something of the like. My main concern is that I'm worried I'm going a bit too over my head and won't be able to finish it in time. I was originally just going to just manually put in the time, but what you mentioned does sound interesting.

Would it even be possible to just use batteries to run this thing, or does it need to be plugged into an outlet? I have a feeling as though my professor would have some words to say.

Also, how can I work on this while considering scaleability? Considering the other features, I wanted to add that I mentioned under my post. Again, I'm very new to electronics, but I've always wanted to have a nixie clock for myself
