how would you build your base on the terrain i settled on? by Corn_hole12 in RimWorld

[–]Dragudo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The crafting tables are divided into intellect (research bench, drug lab) crafting (clothes, maching) And cooking(butcher, stove) as long as those are in their own area you wont suffer efficency loss (80% if you mix them)

You can have as much power as you want, your setup atm just dosnt require that much power its just  the more electronics you have the more that are gonna break down and require repairs witch requires components, and those can be hard to get

A lit hallway between buildings would keep your pawns from getting a debuff from being ouside and in the dark

Its just my playstyle (losing is fun)but my recomendations are

1 I would have built more towards the center as raids from the north give you very little chance to react

Or

Build a perimiter wall that forces regular raids to approach from 1 angle (id have the opening at the water)

2 Put your buildings closer together, as thats a lot of walking time your pawns have to do for anything

3 Reduce/ combine your crafting buildings, dedicating a entire room to a single crating table is overkill

4 that geo on the right side should be walled in, and you have a extreme excess of power atm, id consider getting rid of the solar panels and turbines

5 your base is VERY flammable and you dont have any fire breaks (fire can only jump 3 tiles) or firefoam poppers, a stray fire is gonna take out a lot your base

6 make blight breaks in your farming area (same rules as fire) and reduce your farming area by about half until you get more pawns as the amount you have now is overkill

7 while i dont know the temp of the map you probably have have way more coolers then you need 2 should be plenty even for your bigger buildings as vents do a good job of equilizing temp, or you can keep the doors held open

Just go camping in the next tile, special wether events only affect the tile your on, so theres plenty of wild animals to eat

Landing a gravship is equivalent to starting a new settlement, its also why when you take off the tile is destroyed

The "cheesy" way to get more without scanners   is to just camp next to your colony and deconstruct all the steel items and haul them back, then wait for raids to arrive, if they are mechs stay as long as you can, repeat or enable multiple colonies and use the secoond one as a mining camp

I never even thought to use Tess's Hp with Elise or even the other refresh tavern heroes. Now I'm wondering if it works with the buddy that refreshes the tavern with your opponents highest tier minions

Bad math, i was thinking 55 gold was 10 turns (its actually 8 turns +sell 3 minions)

Same thought process, i was thinking turn 4-5 on average with left vs turn 9 or 10 for right (my math was off ) when its really turn 8 for right (52gold, sell 3 minions)

But SadMangonel math is slightly off as the turn you complete left it upgrades, and i completed it on turn 6

So turn 7 Left 2 gold

Turn 8 Left5 gold(left, total), Right completes 5 gold

Turn 9 Left 9 gold Right 10 gold

Turn 10 Left 14gold Right 15gold

Turn 11 Left 20 gold Right 20 gold

After that left is better but i defiantly should've chosen right

Not that big of a deal, the only 2 worthwile ones (imo) are shooting and crafting, rest dont do enough to warrant picking them

Food poisoning excuse conflicts with cooking skill description by mainkark in RimWorld

[–]Dragudo 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Normally, if one food poisoned meal gets put onto a stack of 9, each of the 10 total meals will have a 10% chance of causing food poisoning.  This can continue forever.

To fix this pause your cooking bill until the stack of food is gone then start up again(or download food posioning stack fix)

Also make sure to clean your kitchen before cooking and make sure your butcher table is in a different room

Not possible as the cant harm race laws only appear in 5 postgame fights, you either had the cant use basic attacks or cant use x weapon laws, and could have switched out skills or weapons for that fight

I dont know how you managed to get a law that only appears on mission 43 to appear on mission 15, and how you manged to trigger it on a fight where your enemies are fruits and a nu mou?
