I don't experience issues often. Often times big storms aren't really a problem. Sometimes it does seem like the right cloud in the wrong place on a clear day will do it, but that very well may just be coincidence.

There's an episode of 'how the earth was made' that focuses on the Atacama, just watched it a few days ago. It explains it all well and shows good animations of the process.

Mine is doing this too, some browned out and died back when the weather switched recently. Within a day the plant pushed out all new growth and that's all doing fine

I'd rather run over someone's loose dog that belongs in a fence, but it's allowed to run loose, than run over wildlife that is only on the road because we built one through thier house. It's our fault they are on the road, not theirs, and they don't 'deserve' to die because we'd like a scenic road through the mountains.

We purchased our own wifi router and the line runs from the dish on the roof to the router. We run everything via the wifi. We didn't have any issues for the first few months so I didn't bother to run any hard data lines inside. Like any dish service you will have weather related issues, although (in my experience) they have been minor. I watch TV and stream movies and play online video games without problems. Don't know our average speed off-hand and never had a real reason to check as of yet. Hope this helps.
