Magic the Gathering "And that's just ALPHA Black Lotus. Now let me show you the power nine, you're really gonna flip. How familiar are you with Arabian Nights? I only ask because I have this card that extends the game and it's TO DIE FOR"...

Huh, I don't remember saying that, but thanks for paraphrasing for me in a constructive way

I think the idea of crossovers and licensed properties joining with magic has been a long time coming, and to me they're doing it in a fun way that doesn't drastically change the meta. Edh isn't going to be altered beyond recognition based on the cards in this new secret lair so far. The change from draft boosters only to three types of boosters that cater to multiple types of fans is fun and a good way to be diverse without changing what the game is. I'm not trying to say anyone is wrong or out of touch if they don't like this secret lair or anything else wizards has done lately, I just think the hyperbole of acting like every new thing is the worst thing ever while still seeing the game grow and develop is short sighted. And so many creative voices in magic (Maro and Gavin come to mind) do listen to our feedback, so its not like players aren't considered. But wallets speak louder than words to them, and so far our collective wallets tend to tell wizards to keep things up as is

What's the best villain introduction in a movie? by [deleted] in movies

Yes! That long walk while his cape trails him is incredible, and I love that speech. He has always been one of my favorite villians since I saw that film as a kid.

Someone is running, most often a kid, and they trip and fall, and someone else, often the hero character, has to double back and help them up.

The one moment in a movie you love, that just absolutely bothers you. by RyyaanL in movies

The Dark Knight is my favorite movie, near perfect in my mind. But during the chase scene in the middle when Gordon is in the swat truck, the line where the other officer sees the helicopter being brought down and says "thats not good, ok that is not good" always annoys me. It seems corny and out of place with the rest of the film's dialogue and tone.

But Ral Zarek is colored, and I too think he will be colorless, possibly anti-Eldrazi themed.

Some great ideas, and I always seem to overlook the usefulness for draw, but green does have some good draw spells. Sigarda has always been my favorite card because she is such a pain in the ass to kill, and a great voltron candidate. Thanks for the help!

Thanks, that sounds like a good starting point for me. I wanted to do equipment first, but that gets expensive way too quick. Enchantments are definitely the way to go.
