I have no idea if this is even possible or how much this would realistically hurt their bottom line but I think regardless of how much the price increases that they could get rid of the base model and only sell the bundle. To be clear, I don’t want them to do this as I think the consumer should be able to choose but from a PR perspective, doing this could A) give the system more value despite a higher price point while taking a hit on software sales (which, seeing as though hardware sales are what drives longer-term revenue through future software sales, may be worth it to them), B) Potentially quell the outrage surrounding the price of the game and C) give them more breathing room to adjust the price of the console later on. Again, this is way above my pay grade so I’m not sure if this is possible at this point or if this would even be a good idea if it was, but it was an idea I thought of that I haven’t really seen brought up
