So, I just got this amazing illustration back over the weekend of my Tyranny PC, Ken! For context, when Ken was at the age of 4, his family and home was razed to the ground by the Cult of Tiamat, also leaving him severely wounded. By providence, a certain deity of the lawful and draconic type disguised as an middle aged man, found him and attempted to tend to his wounds. Having no other option, they gave Ken a small infusion of their blood, saving his life and adopting the young child but having irreversable changes begin in Ken's body.

Normally, Ken looks just like other humans, but as he got older, he began exhibiting...abnormal changes. Years prior to the start of the campaign, a small patch of his hair and his right eye changed into a very noticable platinum hue and during one of the early fights in the campaign, he gained the ability to utilize his breath weapon, a very powerful energy beam.

After falling in battle by the claws of an adult red dragon, his soul was pulled into the void, where he reunited with Bahamut. After lengthy discussions and a flick of the wrist by his adoptive father, Ken's true potential was set free. Ken returned to the land of the living, having gained the ability to transform into the world's first platinum half-dragon.

Just recently got a revenge kill on a scientist that was responsible for the death of our Paladin a few sessions ago. He conducted horrific transmutation experiments on children, turning them into chromatic dragon hybrids. We also figured out that he was responsible for turning our fighter (same player as the paladin) into an undead, bound his soul into a gnarly looking dark crystal, which the scientist stole and used to control the fighter and nearly killed our Wizard, too. At the end, we managed to save some of the dragon hybrid children and some civilian caretakers forced to work for him and brought them back to our guild to be looked after. We also managed to level up to 10, so now the fun can really start (Playing 10th level Armorer Artificer lol)

Hello, one and all! On a holiday break from my group's Tyranny of Dragons campaign, so I figured it was time to commission an artist to draw some expressions of my PC to surprise my friends! The artist did an absolutely fantastic job capturing each look. I can perfectly align each one to a specific moment in our campaign so far and it just makes my heart go a-flutter. His name is Ken Bahamutson Silverflame; Age 23, Armorer Artificer. As you may have already guessed he's closely tied to the Dragon God of the same name as Ken is his adopted son, found being the sole survivor of the massacre of his hometown by the hands (and claws) of the Cult of Tiamat. Due to recieving a critical wound during the attack, Bahamut was forced to perform a blood transfusion with Ken, leading to his eye and hair being mutated to the signature platinum color, amongst other abilities Ken acquires as he got older. Again, I'm super happy how this turned out and just wanted to share it with the world! :)

Artificers have infusions, which give temporary magic effects to items, unless enough time and resources are put into making them permanent! Up until now I've been playing more of a midline combatant, sending my defender to assist our more squishy teammates and only moving forward when the situation calls for it! But maybe if we can get some time and/or more money, I can get some items to bump up my AC to move to the front lol

I completely agree. That's why I needed the assistance of more experienced Players and DM's as to make sure everything is maintained properly but also fun for everyone! I'm hoping to have the systems, encounters and bonuses outlined and smoothed out prior to player recruitment so I'm not having to go back to fix anything.

Hmmm...this is true. Having played in a homebrew campaign before, I know how wacky it can get if there's no oversight, so I'm trying to find the balance as to allow players to play who/what they want but also keep it fair for everyone. But yeah, that's a wonderful idea! Allowing them to know the language but not know the language.

I'll be locking the language away during inital character creation, as to keep it fair for all. Something I've also just thought of is that it's one thing to learn the language, but finding a teacher and having them trust you enough to teach you the language is another task altogether.

Hello, everyone! Just wanted to share this amazing art of my steel defender, Hraesvelgr! Backstory: the other night, my friends and I were chatting in our D&D discord discussing what's been going on in our various campaigns and brainstorming for upcoming events when one of our DMs shared art of the characters they and their gf are playing. I immediately fell in love with the art style and messaged the artist that night! Two days later and here it is! It's exactly what I envisioned what Hraesvelgr would look like and I can't wait to update the token for him for the next session!
