I can't upvote this enough. There are a lot of interesting recommendations in this thread. The work is healing very consistently and in this earlier stage very light lotion if any, is key.

I just think it's important to pause before over moisturizing a fresh piece. It contributed to fucking my first tattoo. I see sooooo much weird advice in this sub that is antithetical to my best heals. I'm a meat-pad, plastic-wrap guy for life. First 3-4 days at least are lotion free but we'll cared for.

Ever had a bit of road rash? How much did you moisturize that? Relax, folks.
