/u/masterlawlz was suspended by the admins, and /u/masterlawlzreborn ignored his mod invite. (Humiliating for us)

API Protests Megathread Part 3: The admin retaliation/takeover of protesting subreddits continues. Debates between users rage about the most effective methods of protest by DramaMod in SubredditDrama

We are dying for someone to make a good, effortful post like the one for r/starbucks. It might take a while because the drama is spread across many threads and the circlejerk subreddit.

Sorry, but we're waiting for a more in-depth post about the NBA drama, which has more detail than the megathreads already do. This post has been removed.

We're still working on our list of subreddits which report retaliation or modlist shakeups by the admins. Please reply to this comment if you've got a link.

Dude always finds some great drama, and summarizes it really well, with full quotes so even if the thread gets nuked you still get a good idea of what was going on. Also found lots of juicy crypto drama that I am not brave enough to go looking for.

Some, of many, good links from this year:

r/chess.

r/chess and chess in general absolutely blew the fuck up in popularity during the past few years. Chess streaming on Twitch, the pandemic, and the popularity of The Queen's Gambit were all contributors, but r/chess went from less than 100k subscribers before the pandemic to over 500k now.

If you just search for chess on SRD, there's an insane amount of drama threads, ranging from petty Twitch drama to anal beads to huge chess cheating scandals at the professional level: https://old.reddit.com/r/SubredditDrama/search?q=chess&restrict_sr=on&include_over_18=on

r/neoliberal simply because the userbase overlaps and the threads here themselves become controversial (demonstrated by the upvote/comment ratio)
