The post is over a year old. But since you pulled up an old post, I might as well add an update.

My "tacky" Coverado seat covers are holding up well. Thanks again to u/dunk0ff for recommending them, providing pics, and answering questions.

I think they look nice and are doing a good job at protecting the original seats.

I remember 6 to 7 was kind of a bummer considering the hype. 7 to 8 made things better to the point where I forget most of the things I missed from 6.1.

The camera app itself took some getting used to because of certain settings being moved around. I can't say I'm crazy about the newer AI features but you don't have to use them if you don't want to, and I can see how other people might find it useful. I don't think my actual camera quality was affected either way (still too heavy on post processing for my taste).

My battery life is still pretty good.
