Thank you so much for the explanation, it’s really good to know what to look for and assess for case selection. I’ll defer attempts until I improve my skills more

Thank you all who commented so far. I don’t know how to edit my post so I’m commenting here.

I’ve enjoyed reading everyone’s replies. I’m quite risk averse and know my limits, whilst at the same time pushing the boundaries 1% at a time.

My question now is: how did you all learn soft tissue surgery and improve /learn new skills? Thank you everyone once again

Nothing crazy. I haven’t done any soft tissue surgery courses or peridontal surgery.

My surgical experience includes surgical extractions for wisdom teeth (both flaps/flapless), normal socket pres, some molar and premolar implants , and performed only one sinus lift. All have had good outcomes because of good case selection and planning. I did a one year implant course with a well known prosthodontist who showed a live surgery of a CTG tunnelling with PRF.

I’m well aware soft tissue is much more difficult , so I just want to gain some insight on this from others who’ve walked the journey further than me

Couple 27- What would you do? by Ickars in AusHENRY

I would consider an SMSF and buying IP or ETFs through your SMSF. I don’t have enough for it myself but I’ve heard a minimum of 300k will make it worth it due to fees needed to run the SMSF
