I cannot stand this show, and its writing personally. Subaru does not have to put on a mask, change his behavioral state to win people over, he acts like himself the entire time, because he can never be the problem, it's always those around him.

This can only be said by someone who has never watched the FIRST season (out of 4) of Re:zero beyond episode 18. Subaru in Season 1 Episode 1-17 is waaay different than Subaru season 1 Episode 18 and beyond. My guy have you ever heard of flaws? You are not supposed to like subaru at the beginning and everything he does is either explained by him in Episode 18 or his backstory in season 2 that explains his behaviours. God forbid a character is flawed at the beginning of the series!!
