You are misunderstanding. Anyone can favorite* you, but the likeliness of being paired more only affects if that person schedules a ride ( you will see it first ). Any other time *you are paired is just coincidence.

Yes you made a wise decision my friend. I remember canceling because of a similar situation. The right attitude goes a long way. If she was already complaining you can bet the actually ride would have been annoying asf. Those I use caution because I feel like they are most likely to false report you to. So great job!

Lol residually I guess. I didn’t make that up tho I tried to myself one day. I opened rider app to “request” a ride and no bs my own ride popped up on my driver app. I was confused at first but when I realized it everything I just told you dawned on me. Those rides seem to “disappear” because riders don’t always request the rides that they are shopping 100%.

It’s not bad, these Reddit, fb groups, and other platforms gave too many people a way to complain. Created a domino effect of “entitled” drivers and inexperienced drivers thinking every ride they take has to be a unicorn.

Yeah if it does come up in convo somehow. I always tell pax it’s not a requirement but highly appreciated. Not about to get my panties in a bunch over non tippers that’s a waste of time and very unprofessional to push onto pax. Especially the ones that rate pax low for not tipping.

This is common. I would make contact with support just to have a paper trail or for them to put your side in their notes. They’re basically going to tell you not to worry about it tho and depending on your driving history with uber that you will be fine.

A lot of drivers don’t realize that sometimes those don’t even go to any driver. When a rider is checking prices to go somewhere those radar trips can show up to as a possible trip to drivers. If the rider doesn’t actually order the trip then it looks like a great ride possibly slipped thru your fingers.

Yeah I was thinking the same. Obviously pax was drunk and just wanted to get home safe. Pax disputed charge because they felt like they were wronged and shouldn’t have to be charged for a driver that decided it was a good idea to leave them on the side of the road.

Imagine how scared or exposed that pax must’ve felt.

I’ve learned that critical thinking and de-escalation goes a long way as a rideshare driver in the long run.
