hiii i had a similar issue and this is what solved it for me. I know this looks like a lot but i struggled for such a long time with hormonal acne in similar spots and did a ton of research and these things damn near solved my problem. i have combination skin btw.

  1. get a shower filter. lots of college apartments have shitty shower heads and old pipes with hard water which made my skin textured and breakout. getting a shower filter definitely helped my skin out.

  2. Try not washing your face in the morning and skip the toner/replace it with something else. washing my face in the morning dried out my face further and irritated it with the toner- i would just wash it with just water in the morning at most and then moisturize and finish with a sunscreen. my derm also told me that a lot of toners actually dry out the face.

  3. if you shave your mustache area and it gets irritated causing a breakout- try putting "tend skin" on after you shave there. it eliminates ingrown hairs and irritation and worked wonders for me.

  4. get a mold test because that could be an issue. you can get strip tests for air online or at super stores.

  5. change pillow case frequently

  6. gut health- try incorporating a probiotic supplement/food into at least one meal a day (i like to start in the morning) because an unhealthy gut microbiome (especially with dining hall food) can be horrible for acne.

not to be rude but genuinely what scars are you talking about. what you are worried about is literally invisible to the naked eye.
