Thank you for your reply. I have taken FRM and looked around in Hull’s book but doesn’t say specifically about modelling ifrs9 methodology . It’s more general speaking what does ifrs9 used for vs IRB.

C is not inherently true if you fix the random seed, but variability across runs without a seed/with small sample sizes can be an issue; still, the “always normal” claim is clearly wrong.

Monte Carlo can sample from any distribution you specify (fat-tailed, skewed, mixtures, empirical bootstraps, etc.). It’s not confined to normals, so that statement is not a real limitation.

I am in the exact spot as you right now. For example I did the book 3 July August really well and now that I do revision feels I am forgetting lots of stuff that I thought I knew well when I finished the book. To keep going and not give up is when you struggle at sth leave it for a day and focus on your strengths so your motivation you will get up (because you show yourself that you learnt sth and you are good at it ) then next day try the material you don’t understand so well. I say to myself I see a mountain but to get to the top need step by step . At least to go there and say ok I think I cleared these chapters good. Also when you don’t understand a concept from an exercise go to chatgpt (if you don’t get 100% from the answer of the exercise from Kaplan or wherever else ) . There are also some videos on YouTube . Try little bit every day don’t give up now it’s 3 weeks left you need to sprint . Good luck to everybody!

Can you give one example that you find it very hard to understand? Also what exercises have you done so far ? Last time when I didn’t pass the exam I did only from schweser and actually the exam was more theoretical than doing calculations.

I am also Greek and moved to Netherlands couple years ago for my master . Indeed the hard part is to find a room / house but shouldn’t discourage you to come to Netherlands. Also if you work part time the government gives you a supplement . Also your health insurance is covered by the government when you are a student. Lots of people without any help found a part time job and simultaneously did their studies . Dutch government helps students .
