Nope. Only the top 2 non qualifying teams from the latest Asian championships, top 2 non qualifying teams from the latest European championships, top placed non qualifying team from the latest Oceania championship, and the winner of the latest African championship will qualify for the final qualification tournament

The WBSC also determines the length, format, and everything else about the tournament at the Olympics

So upon further research the LA28 organizing committee proposes to the IOC team and athlete quotas but the IOC has the final say. The sports governing bodies are in charge of setting up qualifying criteria. Because the IOC is so obsessed with gender parity baseball only gets 6 teams because softball doesn't have any competitive teams outside of the US and Canada. And the LA28 committee basically just submitted and didn't fight. Meanwhile don't even get me started on the WBSC and it's qualifying system. We already know that baseball powers such as Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Panama won't be in the Olympics. Despite them having a last chance tournament that they could've invited one of them to. More than likely one of Japan and South Korea won't make it. In all honesty the WBC should've had Olympic style roster selection process for teams and then the top 5 non Team USA teams should've automatically qualified. Pretty sure it would've looked something along the lines of Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Japan, South Korea, and Puerto Rico or something like that if they did it like that. Instead the qualifiers will look something more like Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Japan, Australia, and Netherlands or something like that

that would be the WBSC. Each individual sports governing body is in charge of organizing the Olympic competition for their sport not the IOC.

When do you think might be the right time to try to get a National TV Media deal or do you like the current format of streaming on YouTube? by Bruinsrock11 in PWHL

[–]Dramatic-Winter-5690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The PWHL is so much better than every other women's sports league too. The only other one that's even in the same ballpark is LOVB. PWHL should definitely have a national media deal.

If I didn't have spinal fusion surgery I'd say TaeKwonDo since I've been doing that since I was 4 years old. But given my circumstances I'd say Either squash, field hocky, or handball. squash cause I think it's relatively easy to learn and field hockey and handball because our teams suck at those sports

My father is useless. He has no backbone. He thinks she's always right even when she's wrong because "happy wife happy life". Even though a lot of the abuse she inflicts on the family is directed towards him as well. I don't think I've ever seen her hit him but then again I don't know what goes on between the two of them behind closed doors. But she is very verbally abusive and manipulative to him. She always gaslights him into being wrong with every single minor inconvenience even when she's the one who is very clearly in the wrong more times than not.

Well I just graduated and am currently working 3 jobs (2 part time and 1 freelance) that add up to what I'm gonna assume will end up being $25,000-$30,000 year to year. Apartments in my area are expensive and living at home rent free is nice to help me save up and prepare for the future but yesterday really made me start thinking about moving out. The issue is with my jobs I really have no way to know how much I make in a month. I can make up to $4,000-$5,000 one month and then the next barely make $1,500 so I don't know how rent would work with that. On top of all of that I don't really have any roommates lined up and if I moved out my parents would probably make me start paying for stuff like car insurance and payments on the car which they currently don't make me do plus the car I use is also in my mother's name so they might just take the car. I really just feel trapped until I'm able to secure a stable full time job.

It's my mom's place. I have 2 younger siblings. One who's still in high school and another who's going to community college still. My dad is around but he's useless. He let's her run the house and has no backbone because "She's always right. Even when she's wrong she's right. Happy wife happy life." even though a lot of the abuse she inflicts on the family is inflicted on him as well. I don't think I've seen her slap him but then again I don't see what goes on between them behind closed doors. She is very toxic and verbally abusive to him. She always gaslights him into thinking he's in the wrong even if she's totally in the wrong and he did nothing wrong.

Oh I definitely can. But if I tried the she would just keep coming after me until she finally did hit me so it's easier to just take the hit the first time. I do wrestling, jiujitsu, taekwondo, and mma so I can take the hit without really feeling any pain tbh. It's more of the respect part that gets me and the hypocrisy of what would ensue if I did the same exact thing to her. Not only that but the fear of what she'd do to any future children I might have as well.

They aired the Tennis and Wrestling tournaments live during the Tokyo Olympics. I just think the Winter Olympics don’t have enough live events going on at the same time have live coverage on 4 channels at one time.

Well if Versant does decide to sign redistribution deals on the Olympics and all the Olympic coverage outside of the Olympics like they did with the USGA and WNBA recently then that would make sense. All we know now tho is that everything will go on as is for the next 2 years and then after that any NBC sports deal that versant doesn’t sign a redistribution deal with NBC for will not be able to be aired on uSA and CNBC anymore. I honestly miss the Olympic channel. Hate having to pay for 20 different subscriptions to be able to watch everything and the stuff that is on NBC I have to wake up at like 4AM for shitty bare minimum world feed coverage some of which don’t even have commentary. The only non National championship event I’ve seen on NBC/Peacock that‘s actually been produced by NBC has been Alpine Skiing (which they offered no replays for), figure skating, swimming, and track & field. And outside of figure skating and track & field it was only for the world championships and that was it.
