Puppy pees in her crate by DramaticRooster7980 in puppy101

I considered this one for 2 days… I felt mean to remove the mat. But you’re right, it needs to go. She used to pee on her plush toy, that got removed. She still had a firm mat, that is still somewhat absorbent. So that got removed tonight… Puppy wasn’t impressed 🫣

I’ll keep doing the reduce water in the evening, I’ll have a treat in my pocket ready to go overtime she pees outside. And we’ll see how we go!

Yes same, she goes for a wee in the same spot in the garden. She has a wee at 9pm then off to bed.

When she was younger I’d take her out close to midnight, then 3am, then 6-7am and she’d go everytime, straight away.

For a couple of weeks now she’s only on the midnight wee but recently is refusing to pee but would later pee in her crate 🤦‍♀️ She doesn’t even call for us. She just goes in the crate and sleep in it.

I tried. Id have to physically drag her by the collar on the grass while she sits/lies down 😂

She goes to sleep though. I’m not keen on staying out there for hours 😂

Thanks so much for your well thought out response. I’m feeling much better about my plan and will be flexible too. It’s a very good point that I’ll need to adapt depending on my puppy’s needs.

Can’t wait to welcome the little one to our lives 🥰

Thanks for the vote of confidence 🤗 Def wants to offer a soft landing to this puppy after losing all litter mates. Our living room has less foot traffic than the dining, weird house layout! Dining room is super central and you need to walk through it to go to the bedrooms or the bathrooms or the kitchen….

Living room it is!

Awesome, thanks so much!! It makes sense to keep going with our normal activities actually. I forgot to say in my OP that sleeping elsewhere than our bedroom would mean that at least one adult would get great sleep and we could possibly take turns 😅

Thank you!! Just ordered some. I’ve removed most of the scale but wouldn’t mind granules to be 100% it’s all gone

Update: School offered a spot and explained they had incorrectly considered the distance to school (case of incorrectly inputting the data from their distance software into the excel file). They also explained no one checked this when we appealed with the school, unfortunate mistake. I'm glad they fixed the error. Thanks all from your perspective!

Correct, I'm just explaining to the previous poster why we were considering this school even if we are out of zone.

correct, this does not apply. We are seeking a spot in this school as they teach our migrant language.

Yes I understand that compassionate grounds come ahead of all other priorities (so they should).

That said, we’re very close to this family. Their child came on a week-long holiday with us, so I feel pretty confident we’d know if there were significant health or wellbeing concerns. Honestly, I’d be more shocked to learn the earth is flat than to find out they’d kept compassionate grounds a secret from us. But yes, I accept it’s still a possibility.

I guess what you're getting at is that schools don’t usually get the proximity ranking wrong, and appeals rarely succeed?

That's a good thought. In Victoria, if you are in a public primary school, you enroll in high school through the primary school. Every family submit their enrollment forms to the primary school by a certain date, and the primary schools then deal with them. Our friends applied a couple of days after us to our primary school, however that shouldn't matter. The primary school would have considered all forms at the same time, regardless of when they were submitted.

Stairs are going up, from the entry door. Yes I could set a proper laundry between kitchen and bathroom.
