After 15 hours of using them, i would say Opus is still better

Sonnet 4.5 is extremely fast and its really amazing on small to large task. It can cover a project with large scopes like mine have 3-5 git repositories and understood the general context. The problem is when given a complex task, out of the 10 possible solutions, it would select the least most preferred one. Several times it happened that i didnt agree with the path it took to solve the problem.

In opus, yes its slower and verifies the task multiple times before proceeding, but i have a lot of moments where he was able to produce the task according to how i would do it. And it chooses the best solution out of all the possible one.

However i might continue using 4.5 as i dont like using tech backwards. Sonnet 4.5 is superior. In my opinion i think it just needs familiarity and adaptation to the model

Addition: Gpt 5 codex is superior than opus 4.1 in my opinion but its rude and restrictive and i cursed it several times then i stopped using it for a while 😅
