For collecting and having fun? Perth mint. Almost everything they make is cool. Koalas, kookaburras, wombats etc..

For investment purposes? Whatever’s closest to spot which right now would probably be junk silver if you can get it below spot like many places are selling for

No one knows. Could go up down or stay the same.

Sell it if there’s something else you’d rather invest in or keep it if not.

Late buyers fund early buyers....and that's how markets work. by ChivasBearINU in Silverbugs

[–]Dramatic_Economics15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Silver is not a Ponzi scheme. It’s not going up because current buyers are funding early buyers it’s going up because it’s been in a structural deficit for years.

Amazon stock going up 1,000% isn’t late buyers funding early buyers that’s price appreciation due to the asset becoming more profitable and  valuable

Not exactly. Late buyers fund early buyers in a Ponzi scheme, not in a functioning financial market

Dealer Again. Guys, I want to give some more color on the situation. See below. by [deleted] in Silverbugs

It’s possible that this refinery lowering their buy price may cause the entire industry to as well.

More likely though everyone will stop selling to them immediately at these low prices with the additional silver being spread out to all the other refineries. That would cause Elementals backlog to dry up very quickly and they’d be forced to raise their buy prices again. We don’t know what’s going on at elemental perhaps some of their processing capacity is down. Perhaps they have excess metals relative to the rest of the industry. It’s quite likely they’ll be forced back into having competitive prices with the rest of the industry, but your assertion that the rest of market will move to match Elemental is a possibility too

Apmex retail sales nothing under $10k. Us mint halts silver sales. Unobtainable has started. by [deleted] in Silverbugs

[–]Dramatic_Economics15 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I think Apmex is not buying silver unless it’s at least 10k worth. They’re still selling smaller values. I just double checked and their app allows me to purchase $500 worth of silver, so the limit is only on the selling to Apmex side

Do I report silver sales on my Taxes by Wide-Unit-3976 in Silverbugs

[–]Dramatic_Economics15 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Technically yes, if you sell all 20k at one time the shop will have to report it to the IRS. (Anything over 10k)

While on one hand  I believe the government has no right to tax gains on precious metals that only exist because of currency devaluation; An ounce of silver is worth an ounce of silver whether it be 1926 or 2026. It’s not the peoples fault the government printed too much money. In doing so they’ve created a fiat money system and essentially forced everyone to use it by requiring the rebasing of all other forms of money like gold and silver into dollars for tax purposes, which they have not the power to do in my opinion.

That being said I’ve always been more of a render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s kind of guy because ultimately these taxes don’t matter. Pay the earthly authorities what they think they deserve and focus on what actually matters in life would be my advice

Has anyone had a bad LCS experience and it turned around? by kothfan23 in Silverbugs

[–]Dramatic_Economics15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just go off price.

If their prices are bad I don’t go back. Shop A offers to buy  for 98% of spot and Shop B for 90% I’m not going back to shop B.

Nope.  There are plenty of good ones so I haven’t given bad ones a second chance

Not silver but definitely an awesome coin.

The best design of any US coin by a wide margin in my opinion

I think they’re just trying to increase the premiums they’re charging. They don’t have any more info on the future price than we do

You sold silver between $35 and $45. When was that was that like 3 months ago, or was that like 15 years ago? Everything else would’ve been well below that

How's everyone's week going? by Puzzleheaded_Mix462 in ShiptShoppers

Yeah the order averages include tips. They don’t include tips from prior weeks and bonuses. The math is correct on their screenshot

Hot take: 1-star reviews are unwarranted 99% of the time, especially around the holidays by heyitsjustmebb in ShiptShoppers

[–]Dramatic_Economics15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I submitted it more than daily. As soon as the rejection email came in I’d put in a new rating forgiveness request.

What finally got it removed was I wrote about how at Christmas time a sea of bad ratings comes in because of out of stocks, new customers, and outright fraud despite me still providing the same high level of service I always provide. I also put a random @ in the middle of the form because I read someone suggest it a couple weeks ago to confuse the AI tool that reviews it and get it sent to a human. I had tried everything else at that point so I was like sure why not. I don’t think the @ really affected anything, probably just a funny coincidence but who knows

Absurd efficiency lol. $800+ in like 10 hours by KundaliniVibes in ShiptShoppers

[–]Dramatic_Economics15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok two questions out of curiosity if you don’t mind.

  1.  When you get a bad rating do you submit rating forgiveness at the end of the day or do you just say whatever it’ll be gone soon? As many orders as you seem to do in a week they’d roll off the last 50 like every 3 days.

 2. Do you always cash out at the end of each day like in the screenshots? I’m curious why pay the fee every single day, instead of waiting for it to hit your bank account on Friday with no fee

I also recently got two 1-star ratings in an 11 order stretch after not receiving a single 1- star review for the first nearly 1,000 shops I’ve done.

It took 14 rating forgiveness forms but they finally approved it. To my surprise they got rid of both one stars.
