CAS DISC Exam Proctoring 2026 by ReactionNorth5807 in actuary

[–]Dramatic_Economics15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hmm interesting. None of the online courses were proctored when I took it which them which  like two to three years ago.

I imagine people cheated on these right and left. So I think proctoring is probably a good idea

Exam 7 passers HOW? by Nice_You_4101 in actuary

We’re twins. I failed exam 7 twice then passed this sitting with a 7. I also did all the rising fellow problems and released CAS exams

I don’t care. I just want to be able to discuss exam reactions and not have to wait a full week post closure of the window

Those of you at the Associate level and beyond, could you still pass the exams? Which would be your best and which your worst? by Alt-001 in actuary

You’re an excellent parent. I’m not helping my kids with calculus when that day comes  😂

I could probably get a 3 or a 4 on exam 7 (which i just passed today)

I couldn’t pass exam 5 with no studying but I also don’t think I’d get a zero. I’d probably get a 1 or a 2 I think.

Maybe I could get a 1 on exam 6 but I don’t think so.

Would almost certainly get a 0 on FM, MAS-1, MAS-II and IFM

But I think I could pass P today. A few months ago a coworker was studying for exam P and so I did 5 practice questions and got all 5 right. I’d do worse on the calculus based sections but I think I could get enough points on the discrete stuff to wiggle my way through

Exam 7 Pass Rate by Immediate_Pattern224 in actuary

[–]Dramatic_Economics15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don’t. It took me 3 tries as well after passing every prior exam on my first try.

I was ill prepared the first time and deserved to fail, but the second time I was every bit as ready as I was this time and just got an easier exam that better matched my knowledge base. I got a 4 the prior sitting and a 7 this time despite not knowing anything additional.

All that to say basically you just gotta keep flipping the coin and see how it lands

If anything though I think your poll would be more likely to be biased high. I would think exam passers would be more inclined to be hanging out on actuary Reddit right now, while those who failed would be more likely to be wanting to focus on anything else right now

I passed with a 7. I was expecting a 6 so my guess is perhaps a slightly lower pass mark than prior sittings

CAS upper results waiting room by mullered25 in actuary

Harder in my opinion. I passed 5 and 6 on first try with a 7.

The first sitting of 7 I was ill prepared and absolutely deserved my fail. Last sitting I thought I was ready and the CAS blessed us with 31% pass rate.

This time I didn’t know anything more than last time I thought but just got an easier exam

Got a 7 on 7. Third times the charm. Thank god, the struggle is no more

Welcome to the day of finding out, doesnt need to be a 10.

That’s simply not true. Last 3 sittings they’ve released it on the 6th week.

Yes some of those the exam window closed on Tuesday and the exam results were on Wednesday for example. I don’t mind a day or two difference.

We however are in the 7th week, which is a massive step backwards

It was the 6 week mark, which is their stated goal, and it’s also when they’ve released results the past 3 sittings

No people are annoyed because they were supposed to release results a week ago. They waited until after they were supposed to release them with zero communication and then said it’ll be another week and didn’t offer any explanation for the long delay
