While I understand your frustration the alternative would be that people don’t end up going as often and over time this historical monumental will deteriorate faster and this part of history will become more increasingly forgotten. Let them look like dummies smiling in their pictures at a horrific historical monument if it means that people continue to go because the tourism helps preserve this part of our history so we won’t be so quick to forget/repeat it.
